***** Lo De Lea Argentinean Grill, 7001 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida 33138, (305) 456-3218.

Lo De Lea Argentinean Grill is a “hole in the wall” Argentine joint—in Miami.

My knowledge of Argentina is limited to Colonel Juan Peron, his wife Eva Peron, their Broadway show and hit single “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina.”

Anyway…recently had dinner at Lo De Lea and I gotta tell you, that this joint makes some absolutely delicious stuff. My “sampling” included, grilled skirt steak–roast chicken–sesame seared tuna–like I just said, delicious.

Rather than knocking myself out, telling you about this joint, let’s just say, that Lo De Lea is one of the best Argentine restaurants that I’ve eaten in. Now for sure, there hasn’t been a load of them, that said, I enjoyed the food, ambiance, service so much, that I definitely will be back for another go-round.

You can check menu/prices at www.lodeleaargentinean.com.

Lo De Lea is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

    Jeff,
Been down here going on 5 years now. Wish I had seen your site sooner. Your reviews are dead on for all of the places I’ve been to. As I’m reading, I have one suggestion for you. You gotta check out Mr. Shen’s Peking Chinese Restaurant on Glades in Boca (west of the turnpike). Food will bring you back to NY. Most authentic regular (not Silver Pond-type Chinese ) Chinese I’ve had down here. I go there at least 1x per week. Interested to see what you think.

Hello Jeff, just found your website.

BTW, I’m another AF. Haven’t had Argentine cuisine here in SE Florida yet. We get our fix by spending a few months a year in Buenos Aires, where meat is king. A few suggestions for your next visit to an Argentinean steakhouse – try the Provoleta (if your arteries can take it), it is an incredible flavor experience. Likewise try the Asado de Tira, ribs that are cut differently than here in the states. If prepared well, and cooked on an appropriate grill (parilla),they can be spectacular.

FYI – although there seems to be no straightforward translation of “lo de” whatever, it can be loosely translated as Lea’s place, or Lea’s joint, etc.

    #1, Cabo Blanco, http://caboblancorestaurant.net/our-location/,
948 E Cypress Creek Road (two other locations as well). I’ve only eaten at the Cypress Creek Road location. I like their grilled sea-bass.

#2, Fuego Latino, http://www.fuegolatinoonline.com/, 1417 E Commercial Blvd. New, maybe open 6 months. Seems to be family. Find their meat and fish to be exceptionally flavorful. Favorite lunch special is grilled grouper.

I’m a neutral party – no personal reason to promote. I’m a mail-carrier and regretully, my route changed and austere working conditions now preclude me from being able go to either place on my lunch break. I’m more partial to Fuego, but both eatries are worth checking out.
