***** Jimmy The Greek Taverna, 8221 Glades Road, Boca Raton, Florida 33434, (561) 477-3272.

Very original name, don’t-cha think…Jimmy The Greek! That aside, this “mom & pop” Greek joint serves some really dynamte-reasonably priced stuff. You can check menu/prices at www.jimmythegreekrestaurant.com.

Over the past 3-weeks, I did 2- lunches and 1-dinner at Jimmy The Greek. Let’s just say, that the joint didn’t miss a beat–delicious gyros, pork souvlaki, char-broiled pork & lamb chops, Greek salad, moussaka, tilapia lemonato. Lots of food for the money…the most expensive “dinner” on the menu runs about 18 bucks.

If you like Greek stuff, I think that you will really enjoy Jimmy The Greek.

The joint is open 7 days a week 11am-9pm.

Jeff, loved your chris’ pick in Lake Worth. it’s about a 20 minute simple drive from my home. it’s always busy. jimmy’s is a lot closer about 10 minutes from my house. which is better?

    Mr. Delray:

Just had a chance to read your post.

On this one, It’s definitely a coin toss. Both Jimmy and Chris’ are terrific.

    Thanks for reading…

Just wanted to tell you that my family and I really enjoyed a number of your recommendations. We are visiting from Baltimore and found your site purely by accident.
Our teenaged kids expecially enjoyed Boardwalk Burgers and Charm City.

I must tell you that I have eaten the Jimmy the Greek’s between 15-20 times. Had lunch there with my wife and granddaughter. We all agreed that out meals would be better suited for pig swill on some farm in Nebraska. The three of us sent the food back less 2 minutes after being served. The dishes were recooked and were equally as awful the second time around. The waitress was in a bad mood and insisted upon charging us for the 6 meals that were disgusting and had hardly been touched. Needless to say I payed happily but will never return. When I tell people around Boca West of my experience they either take advisement and don’t go there or have a horror story of their own from Jimmy the Greek. Bottom line, it will fall victim to the depths of restaurant insolvency soon enought, By Bye Jimmy!

I had the misfortune of eating at Jimmy the Greek. This place tries to hustle you from the get go. Over 5.00 dollars for one piece of pita cut into 4 with diluted Tzagiki sauce. He employs his family and they are as miserable as he is. He wears a Jewish star to try to appeal the clientele. He thinks his food is superb but I rather go Miami Subs, its better and they dont charge 1.75 for each coke. Take a ride and go Chris” Taverna in Lantana or Kostas in Deerfield.

I made a mistake, I must stand corrected, at Jimmy the Greek each soda was 2.25. Sorry for the error.

Three key elements make this place a poor choice. Food is gross, staff is rude, place is hard to find. Need I say more?

    • joe says...

why did you think that i know the food is excellent and that the staff is friendly it is about quality but quanity and jtg has both i recommendit to everyone i see who goes to florida from nyc and i think you should reconsider going back to jtg yes the place is hard to find but is one of the best greek places in boca
