***** Palermo’s Bakery, 140 North Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida 33486 (561) 737-8500.

If you are “on” Weight Watchers, The Hollywood Cookie Diet, Jenny Craig’s, Nutri Systems…Jeff Eats is thinking that-you are probably gonna hate this joint because- (you fill in the blank) ______________!

Palermo’s is a terrific “Italian Bakery” located in Boynton Beach. You name it…cannolis-eclairs-tiramisu- pastries-cakes-pies-breads-rolls-ices…and this joint-got it.

Palermo’s is one of the top Italian bakeries in South Florida.

Its stuff is outrageously good.

If Italian bakeries (I love them) are your game…

Palermo’s is open Tuesday-Saturday 7:30am-7pm, Sunday 8am-4pm, closed on Monday.

On Friday nights they have live music and for ten dollars you get coffee and pastries and there is also a dance floor. This is the season and there were many seniors but everyone seemed to be having a great time and you are certainly right about the food… give it an A.

I was there recently… there is no charge to sit and listen to the music now.

No, there is no minimum charge but you cannot come to an establishment that provides food and entertainment and just sit there. They do have to make money and pay the entertainer. You have to at least order a coffee and a pastry. The problem with some people is they go and want to be entertained for free and take up the tables for paying customers. That is not right and the wait staff will explain to the customer that you cannot sit at their tables and not order something.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn. My relatives are from the “other side” and this bakery is great! We were there last night, June 17th and the pastry was excellent, fresh, and the friendly staff was “very friendly”. They had music and a young man who is only 15 yrs. old singing all Italian songs. Some in English and Italian. So, if you want to visit Italy for food, music and a wonderful experience go to Palermo’s Bakery in Boynton Beach. My family is returning there tonight for more pastries and great music. Thank you Anna and Palma!

    Hey Jeff,
You had reviewed Palermo’s Italian Bakery back in ’09. There is currently a DoubleTakeDeal online for Palermo’s and I’m considering buying it. The reviews on the bakery since 2011 have been mixed. Have you been there lately and if so, are you still reccomending it?

I just finished a Boston Creme doughnut & a fritter. I had Jelly doughnuts yesterday. This is better than anything you will find in a supermarket bakery, or franchise doughnut shop. Two thumbs up.
