Angelo’s Kitchen is an Italian Restaurant.

Angelo’s Kitchen is open for dinner Tuesday-Sunday 5pm-10pm. If you want to “see” the perfect example of a joint that thinks that it has great food and service, but doesn’t, Angelo’s is for you. Over the past year, I ate at Angelo’s twice. The food is just okay and the service is very amateurish. This is not a “fancy” joint, but the two times that I was there, I GOT THE IMPRESSION that the owners and wait-staff “think” that they “have ” something very special going on.

Just so you know, Angelo’s is no better than the “little chain” joints that dot the South Florida landscape.

I absolutely “hate” joints like this, loaded with “attitude,” but with absolutely nothing to back it up.

they aren’t closed… They changed their name last year and this year changed their name back to Angelo’s Kitchen
The food is more amazing than ever and their family is so kind.
Though the owner is full of himself he knows what he is doing in the kitchen.
I go to the restaurant weekly and advise people to do the same!!

Just to let you know karma is a bitch as you think saying asinine statements about people you don’t know makes you look smart. 1st of all Angelo worked his ass off and yes our food was all the highest quality the best fish veal lamb etc. that money could buy, not the crap “you really enjoyed” at some corporation. He also brought feasts every Sat night to our fire dept. #55, after the hurricane he cooked and served over 300 people for free! He cooked for the Special Olympics for JARC, He cooked for the PBSO fundraisers EVERY YEAR, You have no idea who he is but you make it clear to people who YOU are. Review a restaurant with your brain, those small chain joints could never in a million years compare to his marinara sauce homemade focaccia, veal meat sauce… thank goodness we closed because it was the arrogant people like you that made Angelo have a chip on his shoulder… Yes Jeff, Yes Mr Costello, what goes around comes around, a restaurant that sucks doesn’t last 9 ½ years (& 7years at our Glades Road location) and get constant cards and letters at my home pleading for our return…

      Leslie:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

Interesting that you are now commenting on a Jeff Eats’ review from March 16, 2007. If my math is correct, that’s over 6 years ago.

The way the game is played, Jeff Eats calls it as he sees it. There is absolutely nothing personal in any of the “calls.”

For sure, what Jeff Eats likes others may dislike and vice versa. That’s why Jeff Eats encourages everyone to “make their own decisions.”

Sorry…Angelo’s way back when had two shots to impress Jeff Eats and didn’t cut it.

Your mention of Angelo’s charitable works is well and good…but to be perfectly honest with you, when Jeff Eats spends his hard earned money for a meal he’s not really thinking about Angelo having cooked for JARC and PBSO.

Finally, if you look at the Jeff Eats’ review and the three comments that came before yours, each and everyone of them touched on the owner’s demeanor. Maybe Jeff Eats on that, but three other people “saw” the samething and you will note one of those people absolutely loved the food–but still singled out the owner for criticism. That should be telling you something. In addition, even in your own comment you admit that Angelo had a “chip on his shoulder”—sadly you blame arrogant people like me for “this” chip which is absolutely absurd. I think your problem is that you maybe confused as to exactly what arrogant means…if a customer who demands good food, professional service and reasonable prices is arrogant, then I guess I’m guilty.

      Thanks for reading…
