Simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Mash Hoagies and its food absolutely killed!

Order/pickup at counter, inside table & booth seating, reasonably priced hot & cold subs (excuse me!) hoagies/ salads/ other stuff menu, open Monday – Saturday 10:30am – 8pm, Sunday: 11am – 7pm.

Now you guys and I both know that there are more hoagie joints in Florida than there are Chins in a Chinese phonebook! With that in mind, I gotta tell you, that this is the first hoagie joint that I’ve come across, that has a handful of sandwiches named after the characters in the old Mash tv show!

That said, trust Jeff Eats on this one, Mash Hoagies is turning out some real good stuff!

Yesterday- Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Whit’s Frozen Custard and all I can tell you- is if you like frozen custard- you will absolutely love this joint. Simple concept- order/pickup at counter, inside table & wall counter seating, very reasonably priced vanilla/chocolate/rotating daily and monthly flavors/toppings/shakes-malts menu, open 7 days a week noon-10pm, currently 51 U.S. store-chain with a handful of Florida joints- Boca Raton store opened in October,2019.

Let me wrap-up Whit’s Frozen Custard by saying that its custard is made fresh daily and is absolutely delicious!

I am now going to give you the name of one of South Florida’s great “order at the counter delis”…Pickle Barrel. This joint has been around since 1974 and makes some of the most delicious deli sandwiches and salads that you have ever tasted. Take a look at Pickle’s website at www.picklebarrelfl.com for menu/prices.

I am telling you…the food at this joint is absolutely amazing. The corned beef, pastrami, turkey and tuna-shrimp-chicken salads are about as good as it gets…throw in your choice from 6 breads, 12 condiments and 5 cheeses and this joint can whip-up some heavy-duty combination sandwiches. As for prices, although Pickle Barrel is located right next-door to a pawn shop, you won’t have to go into hock for this joint’s sandwiches or salads… Pickel’s prices are in-line with your favorite neighborhood sub shop’s menu.

Pickle Barrel is open Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9:30am-4:30pm.
