2 Chef’s Souparee (Lake Worth)
***** 2 Chef’s Souparee, 6338 Lantana Road, Lake Worth, Florida 33463, (561) 432-2477.
I know that it’s something like 103-out there…but you absolutely-positively gotta try 2 Chef’s Souparee that makes some of the most amazingly delicious- soups, salads, sandwiches, dinner entrees and desserts that you have ever tasted. 2 Chef’s is basically a takeout, but it does have indoor seating for about 16…order at/pickup at counter.
2 Chef’s menu has 17 soups, 4 dinner salads, 8 sandwiches, 6 dinner entrees, 6 desserts. From what I can tell, only the breads and rolls are not home-made.
I recently tried mushroom barley soup (bowl-$4.90), french onion soup (bowl-$4.90), chicken pot pie soup (bowl-$5.90), new England clam chowder (bowl-$5.90). Let me state unequivocally that all of the soups—were outstanding. On the sandwich front, chicken salad and tuna salad ($6.90) were dynamite…same for the sirlon patty melt ($6.90). Dinner entrees “sampled” ($11.90–come with bread. soup or salad, potato or pasta) “sampled”… meatloaf–chicken parmigiana–1/2 roast chicken…All were delicious.
On the dessert front- the chocolate cake and peanut-butter chocolate cake—were definitely worth the calories
Every so often old Jeff Eats “stumbles” upon a homerun. 2 Chef’s Souparee is a grand-slam!
2 Chef’s is open Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm. The joint is closed on Sunday.
One final piece of business, if “discount coupons” are your game…www.southfloridadines.com has a $7.50 gets you $15.00 deal going.
You’re right!! This place is amazing. Been three times. Each delicious. Definitely try the butternut squash, she crab and lobster soups. All so nicely made and the bread they include with it is equally yummy. So glad you told people about it!!
hidden gem.
fabulous soups.
A year or so ago I literally stumbled into this place. I had just eaten lunch at Chris’ which is a couple of doors down and found this one. I took home onion soup and a tuna salad sandwich for a light dinner. The food was terrific.
I have been back many many times since that first outing.
Sorry to say that perhaps it was just a bad day for a visit. I had the French Onion soup (3/10) and a beef sandwich (3/10). The sandwich came with chips that were literally the worst I have ever been presented with – I was told they were “home-made” as though this explained the oily, cardboard-taste, that somehow ought now to have been acceptable.
My wife fared better as she had a meat salad she pronounced quite tasty, especially with some sensationally, good dressing on the side.
At best, average in parts, I would say

the chicken pot pie soup is delicious.
tried the roast chicken, fried chicken dinners, just terrific.
Terrific soups but very expensive.
Pot pie soup and Italian wedding soup are delicious
Their chicken pot pie soup is something else. Try it!!!!
italian wedding soup and chicken pot pie soups are excellent.
They make pot pie and cheeseburger soups that are terrific. One problem at around 14 bucks a quart they are very expensive. Better to order one of their dinners for like 11 bucks and it comes with a cup of soup.
The chicken pot pie soup is great.
8/27/12 My husband and I found this eatery back in June in the Neighborhood Weekly. We’ve been trying to go ever since but no time. Well, it was sooooo worth the wait! First of all, Liz, the cashier and our waitress was just wonderful. Her customer service from the moment we walked in the door was fabulous and as a Flight Attendant, I paid attention to her detail and how my husband Lenzie and I were served. Great job. Then the samples of soup that were offered were unexpected and oh soooo good!! We picked butternut squash, and turkey chilli and my Lenzie picked Heineken Beer soup and Chicken Pot Pie. Y’all take it from a soul sista….2 CHEFS is just like a pot of collard greens, mac n cheeze, ham , and cornbread (but in a bowl) LOL. Great customer service, great food, and they even kept us entertained. Oh, and the Olive Bread and the Tomato Basil Bread with butter was just as good as sweet potatoe pie…Umm Umm GOOD!
I purchase an entree with soup to go for $13 including a $1 tip. I get two days dinners out of it. I eat the entree (always delicious) the first night and the soup the next night. I just finished my she-crab soup from yesterday and it was excellent. I like to add a little cayenne pepper, but that is just me!
The food is not the issue.. The place is dirty, the staff is dirty. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for my three year old and paid the lady. The lady who I paid, that handled my money, the cash and my change then sliced the bread and picked it up with her dirty hands and gave it to the next lady who made my sandwich. She did not use gloves and kept adjusting her hair while she dealt with my food. In the kitchen was a family working and playing. Yes little children sadly hanging around and touching everything. The floor and the walls where gross and bugs where crawling up the back wall where my food was being made. Needless to say, I did not give this food to my hungry son and needless to say no one should ever eat at this dirty place..
Soups are terrific but on the expensive side.
