Florida BOGO Rules:
Two-Item Minimum: You must buy two qualifying items in Florida to get the promotion. If you buy only one item, you pay full price.
No Half-Price Option: Unlike Publix stores in all other states where a single BOGO item rings up at 50% off, Florida does not offer a half-price discount for buying just one.
Not a State Law: This rule is a long-standing company policy for Florida stores, not a requirement under Florida state law.
Jeff, if I am reading this correctly if I live in Florida and want a bogo on ketchup that is $2 I have to buy 2 and I get both for a total of $2. If I only want 1 bottle I still pay $2. Now if I lived in GA, I WOULD GET the 1 bottle for $1,

I read it the same way.
So, the people of Florida are treated differently than everyone else.
Absurd.
Makes no sense.
I can’t believe that you didn’t know this, living as long as you have in Florida. It’s no secret, and is often mentioned by visitors who usually shop at Publix stores in other states, and occasionally in Florida. Folks who ‘summer’ in the Carolinas beef about it frequently. Mr. Jenkins apparently wanted to stick it to his Florida neighbors!
Never realized that if I only bought 1 I paid full price. I always thought that it was halved. And I always bought 2. The other part about Florida not having same deal as other states is absurd.
Never knew any of this despite living in Tamarac for 23 years. Always thought if you bought 1 at full price you got the 2nd free. Didn’t know that if you only wanted 1 you had to pay full price. Next, why are other states giving people 1/2 price off even if you only buy 1?
