Got a real good “mom & pop” diner for you guys to check-out, Fat Jack’s Deli & Pub in Lakeland.
Real simple tale to tell, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff “discovered” Fat Jack’s Deli & Pub (which opened in 1963) and the joints’ food and Mayberry service-decor-vibe blew us away! Indoor table/ booth/ counter seating, reasonably priced breakfast/ lunch/ dinner/ daily specials menu, open Monday-Friday 7am-8pm/ Saturday 6:30am-8pm/ Sunday 7am-2pm.
First things first, if you’re “looking” for fancy schmancy- this joint ain’t gonna work for you. Like I said 6 seconds ago, “mom & pop” diner/ Mayberry service-decor-vibe! For you guys who don’t know “Mayberry” it’s Google time!
Let’s wrap-up Fat Jack’s Deli & Pub by saying, if this joint was a whole lot closer to Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats’ Boca Raton abode, we would be real steady customers! For you guys who “know- Mayberry” it’s a must try!

These type of diners are a throw back in time when America was a much simpler and peaceful place to live.
I love joints like this.
Nothing beats them for breakfast and lunch.
From what I read, Fat also does dinner 6 days a week.
