Got a real good American/sports bar for you guys to check-out, Moxies in Fort Lauderdale.
Real simple tale to tell, last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our “old” Brooklyn friends, Mike and Lois/ Artie and Joanne/ Jack and Anna discovered Moxies and the joint’s food was right on the money! Two floors- inside table/booth seating/ covered outdoor patio table seating, multiple eat-at full liquor bars, tvs galore, reasonably priced appetizers/ soups/ salads/ pastas/ burgers/ entrees/ desserts/ brunch/ Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm happy hour menus.
Let’s wrap-up Moxies by telling you, that Moxies currently has 50 locations in Canada and 6 locations in the United States (1-Miami, 1-Fort lauderdale, 1-Tampa), its food is delicious, real good service, reasonable prices, cool-modern decor, ranks right up there with the best American/sports bars in Florida, that you can check menu/prices/locations/info at moxies.com and that our “old” Brooklyn friends picked-up the check- so it was an absolutely perfect evening!
Moxies is open:

My husband and I have eaten at MOXIES twice and the food was delicious.
The only problem that we had was that we found the menu to be on the limited side.
Jeff,
Had lunch there a couple weeks ago and the cheeseburger and French fries that I had was on the same level as Burger King’s Whopper. Moxies dolled the burger with shredded lettuce, sauce and other stuff, but like I said, Whopper.
The joint looks great, but like I said Whopper.
Ive had its cheeseburger and it was delicious.
On the fries front, both the french and sweet potato were also delicious.
My husband and I have been to both the Moxies in Fort Lauderdale and Miami and have to rate both terrific sports bars. The decor is amazing, and the outdoor patios are dynamite.
The food is terrific and the service is excellent.
Moxies is definitely not your run of the mill sports bar with mediocre food.
Good food, good service.
Ive been in tons of sports bars and Moxies has the most modern hip look that Ive ever seen.
My husband and I ate there a few months;
For the record, we are both in our mid 50s.
It apparently draws a young Las Olas drinking crowd. The outside patio bar was jammed.
It’s a very attractive looking restaurant,
Menu wise, sort of limited. Prices on the high side.
We had Caesar Salad, Cheeseburger with french fries, Blackened Mahi Mahi with sweet potato fries.
All of the above were average at best. Definitely food wise, nothing that would have us running back.
Jeff,
I think you missed on this one.
My husband and I ate there last night and thought that the food and service were at best your average sports bar fare.
Good place if your’e in your 20-30s to drink with your friends, but that’s about it.
