From kingspointdelray.com:

The Spinners are one of the most enduring groups in R&B history with a towering legacy that spans six decades in which they created the lush, smooth sound of Philadelphia Soul. They have 6 Grammy nominations to their name, 18 platinum and gold records and even a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame! Their songs, speaking of romance and heartbreak, include such fabulous hits as Working My Way Back To You, I’ll Be Around, Could It Be I’m Falling In Love, Then Came You and The Rubberband Man.

Watched a recent video of them on You Tube. I dont think that there are any original members left in the group. Wasn’t impressed with the current lineup.

4 non originals performed with tracks for 55 minutes. Good covers but nothing special.

Over the years my wife and I (non residents) have seen a number of shows at KP. KP year in and year out has always had great show lineups.

Last night we saw The Spinners at KP. There were roughly 500 people in the audience. The show started around 8:10pm and ended at 9pm. There was no band and the entire scenery was 4 MICS on the stage. The group had 4 very talented sings/dancers, but there was absolutely no way that any of them were original Spinners or had sung on any of the group’s hit records.

The 4 guys did all the hits, no encore and as I just mentioned finished right at 9pm. The audience was shocked at how short the show was.

Let me close by saying my wife and I got to see a real good COVER BAND, nothing more.

KP should really be ashamed at the show it presented.
