A recent e-mail received by Jeff Eats…

Jeff,

Been reading you literally forever.
Love jeffeats.com.
Most of your picks are spot on.
But, your “Rugelach Picking”- not so hot!
I need some dynamite rugelach for the upcoming Jewish Holidays.
Got any new rugelach for me to try?

Happy Holidays To You And Your Family,

In a nutshell…if you’re looking for reasonably priced- off the chart delicious kosher baked goods, then you gotta checkout Sonny’s Kosher Bakery in North Miami.

Yesterday, Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats “discovered” Sonny’s and like I just said, reasonably priced- off the chart delicious kosher baked goods!

Now you guys all know that this food reviewing “gig” is purely a subjective call- you know, what I like you may hate and vice versa…with that in mind, I’m telling you guys, that this joint’s plain challah, chocolate babka and chocolate rugalah rank right up there with the best plain challah, chocolate babka and chocolate rugelach (kosher and non-kosher) that Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats have eaten dating back to 1972 when we first met in Brooklyn!

You can check menu/prices/info at sonnyskosherbakery.com.

    Sonny’s Kosher Bakery’s hours:

I don’t recall exactly when, but it was a number of years ago, my husband and I had dinner at our friends’ house and served rugelach and they were so delicious that I asked where they had purchased them and they mentioned that they were purchased from Remi’s. I also recall that they told us that the rugelach was shipped to them and that there was no actual store front.

Just checked its website and the pictures of its rugelach look amazing. In addition, its list of flavors sounds terrific.
