Simple tale to tell, reasonably priced – all day breakfast/lunch/daily specials menu, table/booth seating, open 7 days a week 8am-2pm, Aunt Bee decor.
Yesterday afternoon, Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats “discovered” The Highland Street Cafe and I gotta tell you guys that the joint’s food and service were right on the money! Nice- to have a waitress that refilled coffee cups and water/soda glasses without being asked!
Trust Jeff Eats on this one, if you’re into “mom & pop” diners, the bet here is that you will really enjoy The Highland Street Cafe!

Aunt Bee is a fictional character from the 1960 American television sitcom The Andy Griffith Show. Played by Frances Bavier, the character migrated to the spinoff Mayberry R.F.D. (1968–1971) when The Andy Griffith Show ended its run in 1968, and remained for two years.
