Real simple tale for you guys, yesterday afternoon Jeff Eats bought a package of Walmart’s house brand- Great Value Cheeseburger Bites ($5.67) at the Walmart Supercenter, 16205 South Military Trail, Delray Beach, Florida 33484…Followed- microwave instructions to a tee and all I can tell you- Great Value Cheeseburger Bites are a perfect example of the ancient Egyptian (or maybe it’s ancient Persian) saying that goes something like this…
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
The product sounded like it was perfect for me. Meat, cheese, soft bun, and just a hint of pickle.
They were nicely packaged, but just a tad confusing. They come in two bags of 15 each. The direction call for placing 6 on a microwave safe plate. It doesn’t indicate what the cooking time should be if you want more than 6.
On to the taste! The bun was indeed soft. The meat and cheese were pleasant, but what was supposed to be a hint of pickle actually dominated the snack. The hint of pickle was almost all I could taste.
The only thing that saved the snack was using mayo and mustard as dipping sauces.
That helped overcome the pickle. If they could adjust the amount of the hint of pickle, I would certainly be a fan.
