Bagel City South makes some of the best New York styled bagels and bialys in South Florida. The stuff is made the old fashioned way, that being hand rolled, boiled and then oven baked.

The joint is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great place for appetizing, burgers, deli, eggs and of course those fantastic bagels/bialys.

Sassy waitresses and talkative countermen add to the New York flavor. This is a real good one.

Hands down Sage Bagel & Deli in Hallandale Beach is the best bagel joint Ive been to during my 12 years of living in Margate, Florida. There are plenty of good bagel places, but Sage’s bagels are by far and away the best Ive had as is its food. Sage is an absolute must try.

Got a real good bagel-deli joint for you guys, Big Bite Bagel & Deli in Coconut Creek. For your file, delicious food, hefty portions, booth/table seating, reasonable prices, very pleasant-competent service. Big Bite is open 7 days week 6:30am- 3pm. Menu/prices/info bigbitebagelanddeli.com.

Now, you guys know or should know that over the years, Jeff Eats has eaten in his fair share of South Florida bagel-deli joints – running the gamut from dynamite to pump my stomach!

With the above in mind, I’m gonna make this tale real sweet and simple, Big Bite Bagel & Deli is right up there with the best bagel-delis that I’ve eaten in/taken out from in South Florida. A recent outing had Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats eating in- western omelette, sausage/American cheese/scrambled egg sesame bagel sandwich, French toast…and taking out- 1/2 lb of tuna salad, 1/2 lb of chicken salad, 1/2 lb whitefish, 1/2 lb of pastrami, 1/2 lb of corned beef, 2 potato knishes, 2 kasha knishes, 1/2 dozen mixed bagels and I gotta tell you, everything was right on the bagel-deli money!

Like I said 3 seconds ago, Big Bite Bagel & Deli is right up there with the best bagel-delis that Jeff Eats has eaten in/taken out from in South Florida! Trust me on this one, if you live or work in Big Bite’s neighborhood, you wanna eat its stuff!

Big Bite’s menu is printed down below…as you can see- it’s loaded with everything your cardiologist eats when he/she is alone!

Got a real good- order at/pickup at the counter bagel joint for you…Straight From New York Bagels in Naples.

Real simple menu…bagels, pastries, breakfast stuff, salads, sandwiches.

Since the joint is “called” Straight From New York Bagels–let’s chat first about the mixed dozen I got…everything/asiago/pumpernickle/onion/garlic—Straight From New York Bagels’ dozen =15 bagels for 15 bucks. The bagels were kettle boiled and then baked. Now, no beating around the bush here— for sure Jeff Eats has had better bagels in Florida, but I will tell you, that Straight From New York Bagels were good, actually real good—so as for the bagel-front, the joint was strong. Now, as for Straight From New York Bagels’ pastrami-corned beef-chicken salad and tuna salad–I am pleased to report, that everything was delicious–actually, I’d rate each listed item right-up there with the best that I’ve had in Florida’s bagel bakeries/restaurants.

You can check menu/prices at straightfromny.com.

Straight From New York Bagels is open 7 days a week 7am-2pm.

Sage Bagels in Hallandale continues to be the best in Broward and Miami-Dade.

Bagel Cove in Aventura is OK and better than the rest.

Recently tried Family Bagels of Long Island in Cooper City and was pleasently surprised. Tasted and chewed like a proper bagel.

Watch out for El Bagel in Miami. Currently a pop up in Wynwood but may be brick mortar soon.
