Today, Jeff Eats received a letter from Humana Health Insurance Company of Florida, Inc…
In a nutshell, the letter said that if I wanted to basically keep the same health care insurance coverage that I had in 2014- in 2015 the monthly premium rate would go from $626.69 to $1,460.06.
Since Jeff Eats is primarily a food-blog…this increase would be like- you eating in a restaurant on 12/13/14- getting a bill for $6.27 and on 1/1/15 eating the same thing in the same restaurant and getting a bill for $14.60…with the owner telling you, hey! you had to help pay the bill for these other customers so that’s why you have to pay more!
Do you know what absurd is! Well this is ABSURD!
This is an outrage and Chief Justice Roberts should be ashamed of himself.

I am wondering what Jeff did. Did he renew at the higher price or shop and find a better deal.
Obama Care is a total disaster. Insurance companies are dropping out of the program like crazy. It won’t last much longer. Obama created a mess.
On March 23, 2010, when President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act he signed into law a bill that wiped out more than $50 trillion in Medicare’s unfunded liability. That’s not a misprint. That’s trillion with a “t”. The savings are almost three times the size of our entire economy.
Who gives a good crap.
The insurance for me, my wife and 2 teenage kids went ups 75% in cost per year because of this Obama loser.
That’s the bottom line.
And you can’t find coverage as good as what you had,.
Obama care is a disaster for the middle class.
I guess I was lucky mine did not go up much and I kept my doctor. And my sister who could not get insurance now has it.
And to answer you question the people on Medicare give a good crap as if kept their rates down.
What a freaking mess ObamaCare is.
My 1/4ly bill went up 62%.
What a disgrace.
Did you shop the marketplace?
It isn’t as easy as that. But I did and for almost 50% more than I was paying And less service I stayed with my original carrier.
