Is this a food blog or a show/music blog? Frankly, on food reviews, I’m right with you. On music/shows, not so much.
Why aren’t you with Jeff on music/shows?
The tagline for this site is “…Finding the best joints in South Florida”
I don’t think any of these tribute bands, Bands with some random member of the original group presenting themselves as the Original group qualify as the best of anything. And, doowop, doowop, doowop. WTF?
It’s one thing to alert readers about upcoming shows or how to get discount tickets, but having to scroll almost a foot or more for the various press releases, reviews, previous Jeff reviews and random gushing is just a waste of MY time. That’s why they invented LINKS. I am giving my opinion, not saying anything about people who like this or about Jeff, generally.
Jeff, are you a major shill for the Hard Rock? You block comments on the ” GO SEE BOY GEORGE” post you did. Boy F’ing George, go see Boy F’ing George; you have lost it man and may need some counseling… Easy Runnings!
Blocked Comments? Where do you see that?
This Jeff Eats’ column sure doesn’t sound like a shill to me.

* Hard Rock Live—Tickets For Less Than Face *
I don’t know about you, but Jeff Eats “thinks” that some-actually most of the shows at the Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood are waaaay tooo expensive. Now, you’re a smart bunch of guys, so you know exactly what I’m talking about—this Tickemaster and its fees etc.—absolutely absurd!
You guys do know, that the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino usually offers its “good” players 2-free tickets to the concerts at its Hard Rock Live…all the player has to do- is show-up starting at 3pm the day of the concert/show at the box-office/player’s club office with his/her player’s card and license and the player is handed 2 FREE TICKETS.
You could become one of those “good” players and recieve your 2 free tickets the day of the show—or…
You could wait outside the box-office/player’s club office starting at 3pm and probably buy the tickets at a huge discount for cash from the “good” players who just-picked-up- free-tickets at the boxoffice/player’s club office and couldn’t give a rat’s ass about going to the show/concert. These players-want cash not tickets…and you got the cash–so as Monty Hall use to say—“Let’s Make A Deal”–or as animal rights advocate Bob Barker use to say—“The price is right”…or was it, “Come on down”…anyway, I’m sure you caught my drift.
So…as Jeff Eats sees it—you now know about a way to get tickets for less than face-value.
For what it’s worth…Jeff Eats isn’t talking out of his hat here…I know of ticket transactions as described above–for the recent The Rascals, Hall & Oates, Bill Cosby, Crosby, Stills & Nash concerts, just to name but a few.
Jeff, just unblocked the comments for The Culture Club (Miami, Orlando, Tampa) post. Boy George is washed up. He has been charged with False Improsonment after paying Audun Carlsen $400 for sex; George was sentenced to 15 months in prison. George is a heroin addict and has been arrested for heroin possession. George was also arrested in NY for cocaine possession and falsely reporting a burglary. He is a theif, liar and cheat. Great role model Jeff; go ahead and support this slime. Boy George is a scum bag…
Boy George was on American Idol last night. So I guess Idol doesn’t see it like you do. Boy George has a huge tour coming up so I guess that all those promoters and ticket buyers don’t see it like you do. You don’t like him, don’t go see him. It’s a free country.
Since American Idol is the ultimate arbiter of American culture and talent, whose word is the law on these matters, we all stand corrected regarding Boy George.
As H.L. Mencken said, quite accurately, “Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.”
You pay all the taxes you really owe? I didn’t think so, thus you like Boy George are a thief, liar and cheat.
Totally false equivalence, Please try again.
“You owe it to yourself-to see Boy George “live” at least once…” Really? I don’t think so.
Who gives a f’ck what you think? Not me.
I’m going to see Boy George.
You’re to dumb to see that Jeff wants to expose people to all kinds of music.
That’s fine. But as I said at the beginning, I am with him on the food, this is a food blog by the way, and not the shows/music. Because you are unable to separate these things and your slavish devotion to Jeff, you obviously cannot tolerate a differing opinion without resorting to ad hominem attacks (Look it up, dunce)
Have a good time at the Boy George show. By the way, maybe you should learn correct English grammar & usage, you tool – but you’re probably TOO dumb.
Hey ZED, Thanks for copying the ENTIRE post and reviews, etc. Just what we all needed, to read the WHOLE THING, yet again. The old “Double Shill” ;-p
Last time I checked no one was forcing you to read Jeff Eats.
Am I right or am I right!
True, Zed. But, as I said in my first post in this thread, I’m totally with Jeff on the food and that’s why I read Jeff Eats – a food blog! Take care.
Saw Boca show last night. It was terrific. Loved every minute of it.
Definitely one of the best oldies’ shows I’ve been to.
Jay 3 is very good. He is just a bit too weak hitting the high notes.
Great show last night at FAU.
My husband and I had an absolute blast at the FAU show. Great music and fun crowd. Especially loved Jay & The Americans and Dennis Tufano.
I and my wife saw this Boca show and it terrific.
The new Jay is excellent.
