* Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in.

Just read “this” on aol.com.

These politician guys- just don’t let you breathe!
_____
WASHINGTON – With gas prices at their lowest in years, Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) is proposing a gas tax hike.

The current federal gas tax is 18.4 cents per gallon and has not been raised since 1993.

Senator Corker has proposed a 12 cent per gallon hike spread over two years.

Revenue from the tax funds interstate projects, some of which have been delayed, as less money has come in as vehicles become more efficient.

There are projections the Highway Trust Fund will be short $160 billion over the next ten years.

States often add their own tax on top of the federal gas tax.

Tennessee adds 21.4 cents to each gallon of gas, which is the 13th lowest state gas tax in the country.

    This guy is a fool.
The Country struggles for years to get gas prices down and this fool wants to take part of the savings away from us. What a dope.

    $1.97 9/10!
The lowest I’ve paid here in Florida is $2.27 9/10.
    Stupid Senator.

Let’s say you fill up every week, with the new proposed hike you’re looking at maybe $100 / year if even. Would you rather bridges falling on your head, or destroying your tires/axels in pot holes? Logic makes sense. Short on funds due to people buying less fuel since cars or more efficient. I guess maybe Obama can just go print some more money and help bring inflation to us that much sooner when gas will probably cost $8/gallon

How about we just cut off the foreign aid we give to countries that really hate us and we can pay for everyone’s gas for a whole year and buy them a new car as well. Plus we can fix all of the bridges etc.

You got to learn to stop socking it to the Middle Class.
There is so much wasteful Govt spending that it’s sickening.

The Senator is looking in the wrong wheel house.
Cut Government waste and you’ll have plenty of money to fix all types of crap.
