Elvis & The Minimum Wage
* Elvis & The Minimum Wage.
Jeff could care-less that this Elvis painting is by Andy Warhol!
All I know is that something is very wrong-when Elvis-sells for $81,900,000.00 while Florida minimum wage earners make $7.53 an hour with an expected increase to $8.05 an hour come January 1, 2015.
AND that’s the name of that tune!
Jeff
You are definitely real.
You do a column on minimum wage but what others may not notice that 2 days ago you did a column on Sonic. To me the connection is quite obvious. I’m with you!
It’s very interesting how Jeff Eats’ mind works.
Jeff
Very well said.
It’s wrong, however I wish I had 81 million to squander on some painting! I personally wouldn’t squander it but would put it to good use….
Jon G:
Stop eating out so much and you’ll be well on your way to the $81,000,000.
Your comments and recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading…
You and me both! But wait you may already have it…..
Jon G:
Had it would be a better way of putting it.
Thanks for reading…
You know what f@cked up is? Well this is f@cked up.
We got people starving in this country.
We got people homeless.
We got people without proper health care.
AND WE GOT PEOPLE PISSING $81,900,000 away on a piece of sh@t that don’t mean Sh@t.
So sad.
Jeff,
It’s brief little columns like this one that separates jeffeats.com from the rest of the Florida food blog crowd. Can’t recall anyone else ever tackling an issue like this in such a subtle but direct manner.
Your style is greatly and warmly appreciated.
Silly… Yes, I agree. However, people don’t realize why collectible art is so popular among the uber wealthy. It’s a non-monetary store of wealth. This guy could hop on a jet and take $81 million out of the country without anyone batting an eye.
Fun post. And yes some folks have too much money.
It’s a freaking painting.
Ridiculous.
