Let me make this one short and sweet (pun intended)…I never met- a donut that didn’t like me and vice versa. One of my favorite “in house” delights, is to pig-out on 6 honey glazed donuts with a hot cup of coffee while reading the newspaper. Suffice it to say, when I’m in such a mood, I really don’t care if the donuts are Dunkin’ Donuts, Krispy Kreme, Publix brand… just call it, a quest for a sugar high or a carefree moment. Not being a limited kinda guy–I also love powdered, jelly, cake donuts (just to name a few)–but honey glazed is at the top of the list. Anyway…the point of this discussion, is to get across the fact, that donuts are one of my favorite food-groups.
For the record, over the years I must have eaten/taken out donuts from the Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach–Dandee locations a combined 30 times. I have never tried the Hollywood joint. From what I understand, the 3-stores are owned by different people…but the donuts and food menus are basically the same. You can check menu/prices at www.dandeedonuts.com.
The best way for me to describe The Dandee Donut Factory, “think”– Dunkin’ Donuts meets Waffle House or Ruffle House (By the way, when the guy who owned Waffle House wouldn’t sell a franchise to a guy who wanted one, the second guy started his own chain named Ruffle House. I thought you’d like that little gem, in case you ever go on Jeopardy). All 3 locations, in addition to donuts have a breakfast/lunch menu. Counter/table seating. For the record, the “non” donut stuff, is as good as any “mom & pop” diner’s offerings and runs circles around the IHOP’s, Denny’s and Perkin’s of the world. That said, the real game at The Dandee Donut Factory is DONUTS.
Let me close this out by saying…the donuts served by Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme are no match whatsoever for the donuts made by Dandee.
If you realy want to eat 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11…delicious- out of this world donuts, you gotta try The Dandee Donut Factory. The Pompano location is open 24/7. The other two joints are open Monday-Sunday 6am-4pm.

you really are a tease not going into detail as their soups and sandwiches are also outrageously delicious.

dunkin’ donuts is no match for dandee.
Pompano location is great. Not the best neighborhood late at night, but there are usually 2-3-4 cops sitting around having coffee and donuts so don’t be scared. The donuts are outrageously delicious and their soup lineup is homemade and as good as it gets. This is roadside Americana at its best. I have been going there for 25 years I have yet to find a better donut or breakfast.
just got back from pompano store with a dozen. 6 glazed and 3 sour dough cake. and 3 jelly much better than dunkin donuts. the donuts are tastier and much lighter and airer.

Hollywood location is amazing, the best of the best donuts anywhere around, they remind me of the gourmet donuts in New York..oh and by the way the pizza here aint so bad either…
The Pompano restaurant is great. I have been eating there for years. The donuts are sensational. As light as a feather. I also love their pancakes and they make great chicken salad.
They have inside counter seating and tables outside.
Don’t be scared, but there is a Police Sign on the front door that says patrons have to enter without wearing a hat or sunglasses.
I always laugh when I read that little sign. The help is great and the neighborhhod is just fine. A ton of times that I’ve been there a cop or two is sitting downing a donut or two.
This place is like something that you would see on Diners & Dives on tv. It’s really cool.
I’ve been going to Pompano Beach location for years, probably well over five hundred times( closer to 1000). Great service great food!!!! Every donut I’ve had are the best!!!! Like a time warp going back in time……jelly filled, glazed twist, Dutch raisin, and there latest key lime filled!!!! From breakfast to breakfast sandwich and on to the chipped beef, nothing but the best!!! Coffee is great, enough to make you forget about that burnt tasting four bucs (starbucks) house blend!!! In closing it’s like Cheers but with donuts and coffee!! See ya there tomorrow!!! Look there’s Norm!!!! Food coach

Went to Hollywood, had a great breakfast and a chocolate donut. Nice people there, met the owner and I told him I found him on Jeff eats.

this donut store on atlantic is terrific. went there last week at 2am and had a delicious jelly donut and coffee. everything else was closwed. what a godsend.
Tried for the first time this morning on Atlantic. Delicious coffee and the cherry crunch donut was great. Like the outdoor patio and counter setup inside. Very good find.
Was at a Super Bowl party yesterday and they must have had at least 100 Dandee Donuts. All types. Ate three, glazed, plain croller, jelly. Delicious.
Pompano 24 hrs makes great donuts. Their cherry crunch is my favorite.

Deerfield spot is great for donuts and breakfast.
Jeff, Pompano and Deerfield have different owners. They both have different bakers. I have been to both and although the donut selection is very similar, the Pompano location has better donuts. Now nothing terrible at Deerfield but their donuts aren’t even close to the ones you get at the Pompano store.
No question in my mind that donuts are better in Pompano Beach than Deerfield Beach store. Deerfield is ok but Pompano is fantastic.

Just got home from Pompano with a dozen. When I was there at 10:30 pm there must have been 8 people waiting on line to buy donuts and another 6 eating at the counter.

I am in the Pompano loc. at least twice a month. the donuts are sensational and they make a great cup of coffee. Love the fact that they are open 7 days a week 24 hr a day.
