Halo Top Ice Cream
* Halo Top Ice Cream.
Jeff Eats has been hearing some real good things about Halo Top Ice Cream- which supposedly is an amazingly delicious low calorie, all natural ingredients, low sugar, high protein ice cream!
Like I just said, “hearing”- Jeff Eats has yet to try Halo Top Ice Cream which according to its website halotop.com is being carried in Florida by select- Publix Super Market, The Fresh Market, Whole Foods Market, Winn-Dixie, Walmart and Target stores.
Just maybe “something” we- need to check out!
Why, oh why, do I have to learn about this during Passover?? Can’t try any of this ice cream until next week . . . but I sure plan to.
If you had just teased us with a headline like: “I’ve got news about a delicious new ice cream that I’ll tell you about next week,” it would have been sufficient. Dayenu.
Super super low calorie – try it you’ll like it.
I went to Halo’s site. They got a load of flavors. Hopefully the Publix by my house carries the brand. If this ice cream tastes good this will be a great find.
I am definitely going to try Halo.
Thanks Jeff for the heads up.
Jeff,
This one sounds too good to be true.
I am definitely going to check Halo Top out.
Jeff,
This could be amazing.
I am definitely going to try Halo.
The calories indicated are so low, that this would be a great ice cream to eat if it tastes good.
Just looked at their website. I can’t believe all of the flavors they make. Hopefully the ice cream tastes good.
Jeff,
Bought a pint of chocolate today. 240 calories. Cost 5.39 normally $6
Not exactly the best chocolate ice cream Ive eaten but it wasn’t half bad.
I also bought a chocolate pint at a Publix same price. I thought the ice cream was pretty bland tasting. Won’t be back for more.
Tried the Lemon Cake and it had the consistency and texture of paste. Flavor sucked.
I bought the Lemon Cake and loved it. Tasted like lemon flavored pound cake.
Jeff,
The Publix in my neighborhood had five flavors. I got the chocolate mint and it was very good. on sale for for $5.39 from $6 this pint isn’t exactly cheap. I liked it and will try other flavors.
Jeff,
My Publix had a handful of flavors.
I got the Chocolate.
Really liked it.
I got chocolate at Walmart for $4.64. Tasted pretty good to me.
Bought 3 pints at Walmart.
Peanut Butter Cup
Birthday Cake
Chocolate
All three were very tasty. Maybe because I knew they weren’t Ben & Jerry’s etc, but I found all 3 not as smooth, rich or satisfying as real ice cream.
I will definitely buy again, because the low calorie part of the equation trumps all of the concerns.
Got the chocolate at Walmart. $1 cheaper than at Publix. The chocolate was decent enough. Not running to buy the next pint, but for those watching their weight, Halo is a pretty good thing to know about.
Jeff,
Last night I got Birthday Cake at Walmart in Delray Beach. I liked it. No ifs ands or buts it doesn’t taste as good as Blue Bell etc. but for a low. calorie product it works.
I can’t believe how Publix is basically charging 20% more than Walmart is.
Tried the chocolate and liked it. No misunderstanding, nothing great but for a low calorie product it works. By the way, bought the pint at Walmart. Checked and Publix was getting a buck more per pint. Which is absurd.
Jeff,
Lemon Cake and Birthday Cake were delicious. I’m hooked.
Tried the Chocolate Mint today and it was delicious.
Same here for the Oatmeal Cookie it’s delicious.
Ive also had their chocolate and pistachio which are also really good.
From the first chocolate spoonful I knew it was fake ice cream. Threw the rest of the pint in the garbage.
