Poppie’s Restaurant & Delicatessen (Delray Beach)
***** Poppie’s Restaurant & Delicatessen, 4900 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach, Florida 33445 (561) 498-4900.
Poppie’s is a New York “kosher style” deli. Poppie’s “plays” in the same South Florida market as Too-Jays, 3G’s Deli, Gourmet Deli (just to name a few)… not to mention every neighborhood bagel joint.
Poppie’s is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poppie’s in addition to its sit-down business, does a tremendous amount of take-out and catering.
I am sure that you have a favorite South Florida– New York “kosher style” deli joint…
Trust me on this, Poppie’s is right up there with the best of them. Very good food…Very good prices…Terrific menu selection…Large/attractive looking joint with an excellent appetizing department.
recent dinner was excellent.
one of the better delis in florida.

food is decent enough.
jeff, it aint as good as it was when you first reviewed it.
downhill situation here.
We like this one and 3g’s.
Good food. Good prices. Nice looking restaurant.
Been living in delray for over 18 years. this one is still my favorite nyc style deli.
My favorite ny style deli in fl.
Use to be terrific. No more. Mediocre food.
New owner took over a few months ago.
Food use to be good. It is now lousy.
Terrible waitress.
As far I am concerned, over the past 22 years Poppies was the best NY diner style joint in S Florida. That all ened about 6 months ago when a new owner took over. Suffice it to say, crap food and some of the worse service imaginable.
Ate there last night.
First time under new owner.
Broiled lamb chops were delicious.
My husband’s bacon cheeseburger was also delicious.
Service needs some work.
My family has been eating there for over 30 years,
The restaurant was recently sold and the new owner remodeled and updated the location.
We have eaten there 3 times. Food was decebt, but the original’s was better.
As for service, its like Moe, larry and Curly were running the joint.
Sadly, three times is our limit amd we won’t be back.
Jeff,
Last Friday night my group of 6 ate dinner at Poppies for the first time under new ownership.
All of us have previously eaten there many times under the old mgt.
Our meal was a total disaster. The waiter had no idea as to what he was doing. Suffice it to say, the food was just okay, but literally half of what we ordered never showed up, After ordering the waiter was never seen again until bill paying time.
All I can say is that we definitely won’t be running back for another meal.
