Simple tale to tell. Last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats and our friends Steve and Susan “discovered” Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse and its food and service were right on the money! Table/booth seating/ full eat at liquor bar, decor wise- unlike many upscale steakhouses that favor dark dreary wood and dim lights Hyde Park is brightly lit by loads of chandeliers with walls covered with all kinds of interesting art -work and photographs, REASONABLY PRICED full boat menu of expected appetizers/ salads/ soups/ steaks/ seafood/ entrees/ sides/ desserts, happy hour, early bird specials.
Let’s wrap-up Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse by saying- it’s an absolute must try! Dynamite Food Priced Right…a waitstaff that knows exactly what it’s doing…
Trust Jeff Eats on this one, unless you are a fancy schmancy person -you will absolutely love this joint! Delicious food and the staff is as pleasant and knowledgeable as can be. On the dress front- I saw a whole bunch of folks in shorts- and I seriously doubt that you will need a second job to pay the bill!

My husband and I and another couple ate there a few weeks ago. We loved the joint.
You are so right that it is very different from most other upscale steakhouses. Bright lights and very open seating. The Tomahawk and filet mignon we shared was awesome and the cream corn, French fries and mac & cheese sides we had were delicious. I did an onion soup and we all had a chop salad.
Prices were reasonable. Service was great.
We all will definitely be back.
They have a terrific happy hour mon-fri.
Love its $22 burger that’s topped with onion straws and French fries.
Great call here. Top notch food in a casual hopping joint.
