Got a real good burger joint for you guys to checkout, BMC Smash Burgers in Oakland Park.
Simple tale to tell, yesterday Jeff Eats and three business associates “discovered” BMC Smash Burgers and its food totally blew us away! Order/pickup at front counter, inside table and counter seating/ handful of outdoor tables, reasonably priced burger/ hot dog/ tots/ french fries menu, open Wednesday-Saturday 4pm-10pm/ Sunday 1pm-7pm/ closed Monday-Tuesday.
Just between you guys and me, I kinda think I know my burgers and hot dogs- and I am telling you that BMC Smash Burgers’ flat top grilled burgers rank right up there with the best burgers (no matter how prepared) that I’ve ever eaten! – And its flat top grilled hot dogs ain’t exactly chopped liver either!
Let’s wrap up BMC Smash Burgers by saying, off the chart delicious food, if you’re not into burgers/ hot dogs/ tots/ french fries you’re gonna be hurting, this joint is an absolute must try!

This is possibly the best smash burger joint in South Florida, if not, top three for sure!
BMC started as a wildly successful food truck and just opened their first permanent location. This is a no frills burger joint; and frankly, who really wants the frills? This is an order at the counter, grab a table, and wait for your food kind of place. I eat fancy food and fine dining pretty regularly, but let’s be honest, no one actually wants a $200 wagyu burger topped with foie gras, caviar, truffles, and gold leaf. Give me a delicious burger that I can casually grab for a quick lunch or dinner and not break the bank, any day. Mind, these are not cheap burgers at roughly $10-$15 a piece, but they are a great price point in this economy and offer real value for the money. Actually, I was a little surprised that this place didn’t have a line out the door and around the building. They just opened a couple months ago, so maybe that’ll change?
I purchased a BMC Smash, a Spicy Smash, and a K Dubs. Each was exactly what you want in a smash burger; onions smashed into the patties while they cook on a flat top until they develop a phenomenally crispy edge. I also got some tots with curry ketchup and I’d recommend those to any tot lover. My personal favorite was Spicy, but they were all very good and were perfect after having an active day and a calorie deficit.
I’d also be remiss if I didn’t mention the friendly staff. My wife and I were greeted with a smile, offered napkins when they saw we might need more, and our trays were removed promptly after we had finished.
My gf and I have eaten there 2x and the burgers were amazing.
Tots were delicious, fries were just fair.
