Got a real good Italian joint for you guys to check-out, Vitolo in Fort Lauderdale.
Real simple tale to tell, last night Jeff Eats, Mrs. Jeff Eats, Daughter Jeff Eats, Son Jeff Eats and family friends Norman and Lynn “discovered” Vitolo and its food and service totally blew us away! Now you all- know that this food reviewing “thing” is purely a subjective call- what I may like, you might hate and vice versa…with that that in mind, Vitolo was one of the best Italian restaurants that all-6-of-us have eaten at in Florida! Three dining rooms/ table and booth seating, full liquor bar, outdoor patio table seating/full liquor bar, reasonably priced appetizer/ salads/ pizzas/ pastas/ meat-seafood entrees/ sides/ desserts/ happy hour menu.
Let’s wrap-up Vitolo by saying that BOTH its food and service were dynamite, that it’s open Sunday-Thursday noon-10pm/ Friday-Saturday noon-11pm, that although its decor may- kinda look fancy schmancy your shorts will work there, that its grilled pork chop is an absolute must have, that you can check menu/prices/info at vitoloitalian.com, that this joint is an absolute must try!
My husband and I and a couple of friends ate ther a couple of months ago.
SOME OF THE BEST ITALIAN FOOD THAT WE HAVE EATEN IN OUR 22 YEARS LIVING IN FORT LAUDERDALE.
Hey Jeff,
Happy New Year to you and your family.
On Vitolo, terrific food. Needs big time help in the service department.
My review:
Our reservation was not timely honored. Required us to stand in a lobby area for over 40 minutes.
After finally being seated, we were served by two waitresses who I seriously doubt could even spell the word Italian.
Appetizers and salads were timely served.
Entrees were served approximately 30 minutes later. You read it correctly, we sat there for around 30 minutes waiting for our food. When entrees finally arrived they were barely warm. To add insult to injury, there were no dinner plates so we used appetizer plates for the shared entrees.
Awesome food.
Incompetent service.
Jeff,
My bf and I have eaten there twice.
The food is excellent.
Service was average,
Prices were reasonable.
Will definitely be back.
* Many of the dishes are served family style which can feed 3-4 people
Dishes that we enjoyed, veal chop parm, chicken parm, grilled pork chop, penne ala vodka, baked clams. lobster ravioli.
This joint’s food is tremendous.
My husband and I have eaten there 5 times and have never been disappointed.
Our party of 6 ate dinner there last night. I
Food was terrific as was the service.
Thanks to you, we made sure to order the lobster ravioli which was awesome.
