Which One Is The Crook? (Publix Super Market- Boca Raton, Walmart Supercenter-Boca Raton)
* Which One Is The Crook?
The other day Jeff Eats was in both- Publix Super Market, 3003 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, Florida’s 33434, (561) 241-5006 and Walmart Supercenter, 22100 State Road 7, Boca Raton, Florida 33496, (561) 226-3157…
While shopping I spotted identical packages of
at…
Publix Super Market, advertised price- BOGO $4.97.
Walmart Supercenter, advertised price- $2.48.
Now, Jeff Eats is thinking that you don’t have to be a math genius to know which one- the crook is!
That’s why as of 1/31/20 there were 1252 Publix and 4756 Walmarts.
Publix maybe to run into- to get milk or some other small item. Big shops, Walmart, Costco and specialty markets in the area.
Publix is no match for Walmart or for that Costco.
In recent years Publix has watched its lunch being eaten by Walmart.
Publix should be ashamed of itself. That BOGO is not an everyday deal. Most of the time Publix gets $4.97 for ONE package. Absolutely amazing that Walmart gets less than 1/2 of price for the same identical item. By the way I’m a big fan of these English muffins, so I’ve literally seen this Publix ripoff for years.
I’ve lived in Boca Raton for 39 years. Over those years, I’ve watched Publix decline in service and competitive pricing. If you told me years ago that I would be a very steady shopper at Walmart i would have told you that you were nuts. Today, I’m in Walmart and Costco more than I’m in Publix. Throw in Doris Market, Trader Joe’s, Joesph’s Market and the Boys Market in Delray Beach and now Publix doesn’t really get to see me all that much.
That BOGO is an absolute scam.
A single 6 muffin package at most shouldn’t cost more than $3. Publix regular price of $4.97 is criminal.
Publix is an overpriced supermarket.
Publix is no longer a competitive player.
I quit shopping at Publix alooooong time ago.
Walmart has Publix beat by a mile.
