    ***** Pastrami Dan’s Restaurant, 586 Tamiami Trail North, Naples, Florida 34102, (239) 263-3431.

If you want to eat delicious pastrami and roast beef sandwiches–you gotta try Pastrami Dan’s in Naples.

Pastrami Dan’s is exactly what Jeff Eats is all about…a hole in the wall, order at the counter-deliver to table joint- which has dynamite food… No frills, no drama, reasonable prices, big portions, no credit cards (caught you on that one, didn’t I?)–no bs-ing here, some of the most delicious pastrami and roast beef that I’ve had down here in Florida.

Pastrami Dan’s menu is printed above…LIMITED would be kind! Handful of items, end of story! As the old Haitian saying goes- “Jack of all trades, master of none”…it doesn’t apply here! Just so we are straight- in addition to the roast beef and pastrami I “tried” the beef taco/hot dog/chili all were good, but the real Game here is the pastrami and roast beef-off the chart!

Pastrami Dan’s Restaurant is open Monday-Saturday 11am-4pm, closed on Sunday.

Zinger’s and Pomperdale are the real deal. They look right, smell right and their food is real NY Deli stuff.

  22. My wife and I moved to Delray Beach from Manhattan 35 years ago. We have been all over Florida and are now pretty much experts on Florida pizza and bagels. We are also experts on where you can get good NY Style Deli in Florida.
Without any hesitation the best pastrami we have had was Zinger’s Deli in Boca Raton and Pomperdale in Fort Lauderdale.
I’m sure there are other really good restaurants but these two are the best in our book.

  23. Larry Robinson says...

I love a good pastrami sandwich.
The best I’ve found in Florida is The Pomperdale Deli which is on Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. It’s a hole in the wall where you get your food at the counter. It has been around for well over 50 years and despite having had several owners the food has always been terrific.

  24. Ed Nixon says...

My favorite pastrami sandwich is at 3G’s in Delray Beach.

  25. Jeff,
The one place I know in Florida NOT TO EAT is Too Jay’s. Some of the worse crap known to mankind.

If I had to pick one pastrami sandwich i have to give it to Zinger’s in Boca Raton with the Pomperdale a very close second.

  26. Kate F says...

    Ellie’s Downtown Deli in Stuart.

  27. Dan L says...

Bob and Wilson’s on 450 Las Olas is pretty good too. But it closes at 3pm and is hidden on first floor of an office building.

    • Caboose Lensman says...

Bob & Wilson’s got great sandwiches.
By far the best deli in the area is Pomperdale.

  28. I Know Deli says...

If I had just one pick in s Florida it’s Zinger’s in Boca Raton. Their pastrami on rye w ff is an unbeatable combination.

    • John Coleman says...

I agree 100% that Zinger’s pastrami and ff are the best.
I also think that Pomperdale’s pastrami is a very close second to Zinger’s.

You have to check out Dave’s NY Deli South in Gainsville. Terrific deli sandwiches.

  31. Arnold Pressman says...

I’ve eaten a lot of good ones since moving to Miami from Chicago some 33 years ago. Hard to pick the best one, but Ben’s in Boca makes a really good kosher pastrami sandwich. I also really like NY’s Big Apple Deli in N. Miami sandwich.

    In s Florida,
    Zinger’s, Pomperdale

  40. Doctor Edelman says...

Ive eaten in a ton of Florida joints and the best I’ve had was at Zinger’s Deli in Boca Raton. I love a good pastrami on rye and you can’t beat this sandwich. Zinger’s also makes delicious french fries. By the way, Zinger’s brisket and corned beef are also terrific. I’d match Ziner’s food up against the best NYC delis’ food any day of the week.

  41. Sam G says...

I got 2 favorites, Pomperdale Deli in Fort Lauderdale and Zinger’s Deli in Boca Raton. An absolute tossup as to which is better. Trust me, either one will put a smile on your face.

  42. MS says...

Most deli’s and sandwich shops buy their deli meats pre-made and pre-cooked. Not saying all but many out there do.

  43. Sid L Turner says...

    Tough call here.
Best I’ve found in South Florida is Zinger’s in Boca Raton. A very close runner-up is Pomperdale in Fort Lauderdale.
