International tribute artist Barry Britton celebrates the 40+-year career of Rod Stewart at the Boca Black Box. You’ll think Stewart himself is in the house as Britton takes on that famous raspy voice with renditions of such hits as “Maggie May,” “Hot Legs” and “Tonight’s the Night.” It’s a sure bet you’ll think this high-energy show is very sexy.
My wife and I saw him at Kings Point last night doing Valli, Diamond and others and he isn’t very good. A waste of money.
If you are totally stoned you may enjoy this show. Britton is a second rate impersonator. Don’t waste your time or money.
Jeff,
My husband and I saw him last night at Kingspoint in Delray Beach. He did Gary Puckett, Frankie Valli, Neil Diamond and Tom Jones. Britton has no upper register so his Valli is totally lame, he does a decent Jones and a just passable Diamond. His Gary Puckett is also just passable. He didn’t do Stewart.
He was on for 90 minutes and had a 3 piece band. He used tracks on every number.
All in all, My husband and I were disappointed with the show but did find Britton to be very personable with the audience.
I sure hope his Rod Stewart show is better than the 60’s Tribute my wife and I saw at Kingspoint last night. Britton isn’t very good and Valli, Pucket, Diamond and Jones all sounded and moved the same way. The wigs he wears also look ridiculous.
The show I saw last night was lousy.
Britton is strictly an amateur.
He didn’t do Rod Stewart last night but based on his Pucket, Valli, Jones and Diamond segments I can’t see his Stewart being much better.
My wife and I have seen Britton’s Rod Stewart show. He was very entertaining.
I have been attending shows for many years at the Kings Point
Theatre . I found Barry Britton`s show to be one of the most entertaining shows my wife and I have seen . His voice was very strong and was quite similar to the tributes he was performing. We have never in 10 years seen a crowd participate singing along and enjoying themselves as they did at this show.
We would definately pay to see this talented entertainer again.
My husband and I saw Britton at Kings Point last week. Suffice it to say we wouldn’t pay to see him again or for that matter accept free tickets to see him.
