Ive lived in Margate, Florida for 37 years. 29 years before that in Queens.
Over the Florida years I’ve probably eaten in 100+ different bagel joints and the best bagels I’ve had were at the Sage in Hallandale Beach. By the way Bagel City South in Boca Raton is a close second.
Bagel City South makes some of the best New York styled bagels and bialys in South Florida. The stuff is made the old fashioned way, that being hand rolled, boiled and then oven baked.
The joint is open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Great place for appetizing, burgers, deli, eggs and of course those fantastic bagels/bialys.
Sassy waitresses and talkative countermen add to the New York flavor. This is a real good one.

***** Mo’s Bagel & Deli, 2780 NE 187th Street, Aventura, Florida 33180, (305) 936-8555.
Mo’s Bagel & Deli is a New York-Kosher Style-Bagel/Deli joint. Mo’s is open Monday 7am-4pm and Tuesday-Sunday 7am-9pm.
You know and I know, that South Florida has more New York-Kosher Style-Bagel/Deli joints than there are Chins in a Chinese phonebook…some are good, some are very good, some are great and some are lousy.
If you live in the Aventura area, Mo’s (which falls into the very good box) is a joint that you want to know about. Excellent hand-rolled bagels…delicious appetizing…very good deli meats and other stuff like potato pancakes and soups…clean/large joint…very reasonable prices. The joint is always jammed for Saturday-Sunday breakfast…Enormous take-out business. Mo’s is located about 5 minutes from the Aventura Mall.
My name is Jeff. I was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York. Since 1991, I have lived in South Florida and have eaten in so many restaurants down here, that I now consider myself to be a food expert.

OK as you know, I’ve been touting the ages at Sage (Hallandale) for years on my site and yours too. NYC good and not debatable.
Bagel Cove in Aventura is a close second.
I found a new contender a few months ago Family Bagels of Long Island in Cooper City. Legit bagels. Pastrami good too.
