Jeff Eats would appreciate “your” favorite best UPSCALE Italian joints.
If you want to throw in some “color” on your picks…it’s fine by me.
Trattoria Romana in Boca Raton is amazing. Been eating there for years and the food and service have always been superb
Have to agree with you, Trattoria Romana is a top notch Italian restaurant.
I also really like Matteo’s in Boca Raton.
Anthony’s Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale is fabulous.
My wife and I have been eating there for over 25 years I it never misses.
The food is superb and the service right out of the Godfather good.
Don’t miss it.
Anthony’s is average and inconsisten at best. South Florida does not have good “upscale” Italian food.
When Anthony’s is on, the food is terrific. When it’s off, it is bad news. This place is hit and miss.
Matteos in Boca Raton is terrific. Same for Matteos in Hallandale Beach.
Casa de Angelo in Fort Lauderdale is also terrific.

Hands down a no brainer Osteria del Teatro in Miami Beach. The most incredible food and not very expensive.

Very overpriced and it is expensive for what you get—tiny portions.
In Miami, Ristorante Fratelli Milano
is terrific. http://www.ristorantefratellimilano.com

My wives friend suggested Positano in the Sanctuary shops on Federal in Boca last night. Old crowd, nice place, the food was fantastic.
My wife and I ate…………………
Appetizers- grilled eggplant parmesan and mixed seafood antipasto- caesar salad and house salad w/creamy italian-sauteed veal in wine sauce w/ sun dried tomatoes, asparagus and artichoke hearts, grilled chicken breast with broccoli rabe and assorted gilled vegetables, cokes, 2 italian cheesecake.

Specchio Cafe in Surfside This place will never let you down
Matteos in Boca.
Il Mulino in Sunny Isles Beach and also in NYC is one the very best Italian place around. From food to service very few places come close. The one in NYC in the West Village had been voted #1 by Zagat for the last 20 years.
