Just wanted you guys to “see” that even Jeff Eats sometimes can’t pull strings…
Here’s the turn-down front Riverwalk for a press pass to cover the Burger Battle.

Jeff
Thank you for your inquiry regarding Press coverage for Burger Battle. We receive more requests than space available each year. We plan our media coverage months in advance, and strategically coordinate the video, social media, print media and radio coverage.
Thank you for your interest. We reviewed your blog and will add you to our list for next year’s Battle. We hope you plan to attend, as this year’s battle offers 16 Contenders, three drinks, music & more all for just $40. All proceeds benefit The Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, a 501 (c)3 organization.
Jeff,
It would seem to me that the folks at Riverwalk aren’t too bright. This is an outdoor event so space isn’t really limited. Your PR helps them and it costs them literally nothing.
jeff, personally if I were you I would just delete the jeff eats writeup on the burger battle. absurd not to give you a pr pass.
For 40 bucks I think I’d rather do the PGA burger battle than this one.
PGA is a class resort and I would bet that its event isn’t as out of control as this one was last year.
Jeff you are a straight shooter.
I would have just deleted the review and kissed these clowns goodbye.
Jeff
What did you think of this event?
rade:
Just had a chance to read your comments.
Really have no idea as to how it “went” as Jeff Eats didn’t attend.
Thanks for reading…
Jeff
I just read this article.
Can’t believe that press passes weren’t issued.
I think the reason why Riverwalk is such a bust as an enterprise is because numb nuts like those that turned you down are running things.
