Tried this joint for dinner the other night. To be perfectly honest with you, Japanese food isn’t my favorite cup of tea (you now know why, there are so few reviews on the subject)…that said, sometimes to keep peace with various friends and family members, old Jeff Eats gives in. So here goes–thought that the miso soup, fried dumplings, steak stir fry, fried rice, shrimp teriyaki were delicious. Not a fan of sushi or sashimi, so when you try this joint, you can let me know how this “stuff” is. As a point of reference– My friends, Linda & Bob and my wife thought that the crunchy salmon-spicy tuna-shrimp tempura rolls were excellent. These same folks also advised me not to buy Google’s IPO at $85 in 2004. So, like I said before—I look forward to your thoughts on this joint’s sushi-sashimi offerings.
Not sure as to who exactly owns Yokohama. The bet, a “husband & wife” team…in any event, the nicest and most pleasant people run the Glades’ location.
Yokohama Sushi is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
My family and I take out from the West Boca location all the time. While it is certainly not Nobu, the sushi and sashimi is always fresh and you get great value for your money at Yokohama. Their “half-price” menu makes it a great cure to a week night sushi fix without busting your wallet. I also couldn’t agree more about how nice the owners are. It is always a pleasure to go in there, and they will always do everything they can to make the customers happy.
my exact sentiments.
lovely people own the restaurant.
food is very good and very reasonably priced.
love the glades location.
great sushi.
delicious stir fry selections.
the owners bend over backwards to please.
Yokohama is awesome, I love sushi and have been to tons of places in South FL, and Yokohama is my fave hands down. Everything is so fresh, and they have some unique combinations, and the half price menu is great like a reader said as it won’t bust your wallet yet you get top notch sushi, but even their normal menu is priced very well. Buddy is very picky about japanese cuisine, and said the terriyaki steak he had there was excellent. I actually never cared for NoBu the couple times I’ve been there, way overpriced imo and the quality is no better than Yokohama.
you want sushi, gotta try japango, parkland and boca, the only place i go
