Mootz’s Italian Ice (Boca Raton)
***** Mootz’s Italian Ice, 19585 State Road 7, Boca Raton, Florida 33498, (561) 4857-2822.
Italian Ices are one of my favorite “food things.”
There is a joint in Boca Raton named Mootz’s Italian Ice which has something like 60 flavors which include both water and cream ices. Mootz’s also has about a half- dozen sugar free choices.
Mootz’s doesn’t make its own ices. Mootz’s is a distributor for Flava Shack Italian Ice which is one of the top manufacturers in the United States.
Like I said, something like 60 flavors. I have to tell you, that the vanilla chip and pistachio cream ices were absolutely terrific and the cherry water ice reminded of my kid-days back in Brooklyn. Mootz’s even has the old-fashioned “push-up” cups to enhance the experience.
If you don’t like Italian Ices, don’t go to this joint. If you like Italian Ices this is a great place to know about.
Mootz’s is open 7 days a week.
Had ices at this place. tried the spumoni and vanilla chip. Great!!!!!!
Hi, have you ever reviewed The Yogurt Emporium on 18th St. in Boca (right between Powerline and Military)? It is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!! What a goldmine, too,,,there is always a line. It is so delicious. The place is immaculate, too. Try it!
Stacey: Just had a chance to read your post. I have “eaten” a number of times at The Yogur Emporium. No, I have not reviewed the joint.
Your “post” tells the whole story. Thanks for helping me out.
Thanks for reading…
this place has so many great flavors that it was hard to decide which one to get. ended up taking home 3 quarts with 6 flavors like cherry, pistachio, almond joy, vanilla chip, choc choc chip and cherry choc chip…going to eat my self sick, but going to love the ride. i love this place.
tried it this evening, tremendous selection, had cherry with choc chips and snickers combo, great
Mootz must be doing something right. I was in there today and was told that they were moving to a huge shopping center on Clint Moore & 441 which is a much better location than current store is in. Was alsotold that they are opening a second store right near Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza which is near Powerline & Palmetto Road in Boca.
Got a quart of 1/2 lemon and 1/2 cherry water ice. Delicious.
Had water cherry ice on Saturday night. My wife had lemon. Reminded us when we were kids growing up in Brooklyn when a small one scoop was a dime and a large 3 scoop was a quarter.
BEST ICE IN TOWN….HANDS DOWN! New tart yogurt is out of this world as well!
Hey Jeff, Mootz closed on 441. They now have a store on Powerline Rd. in the same center as Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Boca.
Was there tonight and ices are really good.
jeff, big selection but not quality
Ices aren’t that good.
really good selection.
Jeff, just a heads up. Mootz’s moved to the Boca Grove shopping center on power line just south of Glades rd.
Also, they opened up a stand on Atlantic Ave in delray. In the same building as Starbucks and subway. Phenomenal ices as usual
