The New York Times compared Jake Ehrenreich to Billy Crystal and Bill Murray in its review of the actor-writer’s one-man musical comedy A Jew Grows in Brooklyn. Now, after its record-breaking run in the heart of Broadway and tours from L.A. to London, this uplifting biographical journey returns to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts. From growing up with parents who survived the Holocaust, to playing stickball in the streets of Brooklyn, to his show business career in the Catskills and on Broadway, to finding himself heartbroken at the bedsides of ailing family members, Ehrenreich chronicles his search for the American Dream with warmth, humor and optimism. Come find out why The New York Times called A Jew Grows in Brooklyn “dazzling.”

Just saw “My son the waiter” at the same venue. Hysterical and totally original. No “tribute” crap here.

    • ksr says...

Zimmerman has been doing the same show for the past 5 years.

      • Ron Gold says...

I saw the Waiter show about 4 years ago. The guy just keeps repeating the same old jokes and stories.

      • frankw says...

  6. Jeff,
    The show was amazing.
    What a talent.
Told a load of my friends about it this morning over breakfast at the Polo Club in Boca Raton.
My parents and grandparents luckily were here in America before the Nazis came to power. That said, I have many friends’ whose families were not as fortunate as mine were.
You are so right, tears and laughs.
Every Jew should see this show.

  7. Glenn Robinson says...

    Jeff,
I just purchase 3 tickets for tonight.
It seemed that Gold Star’s price was better than the buy 1 get 1 at half price advertised in the Sun Sentinel.
    The show sounds great.
Also picked up 2 for Gallagher at Boca Black Box for tomorrow on Gold Star.

  8. KLEINMAN says...

Jeff, My wife and I are going to tomorrow’s matinee. We bought tickets on goldstar.com.
We are hearing only terrific things about the show.

  9. Jill Selden says...

    Jeff,
My husband and I saw the show last night and loved every minute of it.

  10. Mark Posner says...

Jeff, saw the show last night and really didn’t enjoy it. It seems to me that it’s a variation on an old refugee/NY Jew storyline and if you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. That said my wife and the couple we went with loved the show and said I was out of mind and didn’t know what I was talking about.

  11. Lori & Mel says...

    Jeff,
    We loved the show.

  12. Jeff,
Recent transplants from Brooklyn to Delray Beach.
    Glad you recommended this show.
We saw it the other night and loved it.
