Once again, you are right on the money.
Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing.
They rolled over to the Germans and then the Vichy Govt collaborated with the Nazis.

Actually, the term Freedom Fries came as a protest against France in 2003 after they refused to support us in Iraq. They wanted to take the term “French” out of everything possible, so they renamed the fries as freedom fries…along with French toast.
