  1. Jeff,
you are right, very close to white castle.
For some reason there is only one location in s florida.
There are a ton of them further north in florida.
Every so often I make it my business to get over to this krystal.
Any one who like white castle should try krystal.
Real good junk food for dirt cheap money.
By the way I usually eat 5-6 with fries.

I was raised on White Castle in Rockville Centre NY.
Can’t believe that there aren’t any in S.Fla.
Been living in Pompano for 7 years.
Krystal is close in taste and I’m there maybe 3 or 4 times a month.
You are right Krystal is a very good substitute.

There is no White Castle in Rockville Centre, NY… It’s on Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, and I’ve had many a slider there.

Krystal always had kinda off taste and I felt a bit funny afterwards. Never feel that way when eating the frozen WC you can find. But I have eaten may Krystal hamburgers in my years.

McDonalds has 60 cent little hamburgers on Sundays and Wednesday. Buy a few take them home. Then heat them up on a bed of steamed/fried onions and assemble them w onion and pickles inside each burger…. Tastes pretty good as a White Castle stand in. I do this a few times a year

    Jeff,
I am addicted to sliders – the White Castle burgers. I’ve eaten them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and between meal snacks. They are unique. The closest I’ve found here in South Florida is at the Lil’ Ole Caboose on Powerline Road in Deerfield Beach. They have fantastic fries very much like Nathan’s fries too.

My family is from Maryland and there was a place called the snow white grill that had the best sliders ever. But not known for hiring the smartest people. We went there once and ordered a 1/2 dozen and the girl had to ask her boss how many was in a 1/2 dozen:)

I am a smart guy, but in HS shop class, I got the same question wrong for 4 years straight, How many 12″ x 12″ boards in a gross. I always answered 12.

      • KSR says...

sort of like how many 3 cents stamps in a dozen.

        • stu says...

          4 of course

        • Anthony Franza says...

Depends if its a baker’s dozen or a regular dozen?
