Bella Amici Pizzeria, 14859 Lyons Boulevard (Delray Marketplace), Delray Beach, Florida 33446.

Bella Amici Pizzeria is a brand-new “pizza by the slice/order at the counter” joint which opened a couple weeks ago in the Delray Marketplace in Delray Beach.

Got a sneaking suspicion that the guy(s) who own this joint, have never owned/operated a restaurant before…

Not trying to bash anybody or nothing, but a joint that has been open for something like 2-weeks should by now- have paper takeout menus…but it doesn’t.
The joint should have a website (www.bellaamicipizzeria) that has a listed address and menu/prices… but it doesn’t.
The joint shouldn’t have a Facebook Page that lists the store’s telephone number as (561) 705-7777 while its website lists it as (561) 270-3025…but it does.
The joint’s website shouldn’t have two different “sets” of operating hours…but it does.

Tried Bella Amici Pizzeria yesterday- afternoon…order at the counter/pickup at the counter/or brought to your table—let me be as kind as possible, the pizza that Domino’s and Papa John’s delivers to maybe-your house (definitely not mine) is better. Figure a slice is gonna run you $2.50 and a small bottle of Coke- close to 3-bucks. The joint also has chicken wings, sandwiches and salads—the Caesar sitting on the counter for you to “order” looked wilted and disgusting.

Like I said a few seconds ago, the bet here is that the guy(s) who own this joint “haven’t” done this before…looks to Jeff Eats- like they spent a-bundle building a real-nice modern looking pizza joint which by the way has indoor/outdoor patio seating—but the pizza and “that” salad tell me that they better get a REAL PRO in there ASAP before the Titanic takes on too much water.

Jeff Eats would love to tell you what Bella Amici’s hours are…but I’m not sure what they are—they are either Monday-Thursday 10:30am-11:30pm, Friday 10:30am-1:00am, Saturday 10:00am-1:00am, Sunday 10:00am-11:30pm—-or—-Sunday-Saturday 10:30am-midnight.

A long time ago Jeff Eats learned 2-things about the restaurant business…
1. You want to eat in them.
2. You don’t want to own them.

Bella Amici Pizzeria “proves” my point!

Like I’ve said before ”and some you don’t even want to eat at”

Pizza was quite good and I will go back again to try other menu items… Not up to the best pizza in South Florida Nick’s in Boca off Glades……

Nick’s in Boca Raton is by far the best pizza in South Florida

Tried the pizza at Bella. Pizza was ok but sub par to other local pizza places in boca/delray, Took 30 mins for 4 slices to get delivered to our table. Crummy pizza joints near UCF top the quality of the food and service here. I am a college student use to bad food and this was place was even below my standards.

I went to Bella’s during its first week and thought the pizza was terrific. On my next visit, I tried the stromboli and it too was great. Websites and takeout menus are not how I decide the quality of a restaurant. I plan on dining at Bella’s regularly.

Abby I agree with you 100%. WHO CARES about the stupid website! It is the quality of the food that matters. I’m sure they will get their website all figured out.

Was at this shopping center yesterday for the first time. Every store and restaurant with the exception of Shula Burger was empty. Even the Publix had very few people inside. I didn’t try this pizza joint because with no turnover I didn’t trust the freshness of the food. Didn’t want to get sick!

Is this silly excuse for a pizzeria still open?

    • Olivia B says...

Yes it is. And it will be open for a very long time. The food is great!

I cannot believe how important a stupid website is to all of you who keep commenting on the website not being complete! Last time I checked, we don’t order a website off the menu when we go to a restaurant. Get over it! It is a brand new business and not everything has to be tip top perfect from the beginning. I am a business owner myself and I know first hand how much work it is to open up a business and build it from the ground up. Something such as a website is honestly not going to be at the top of your priority list! The most important thing is the quality of the food and the service. I have been to Bella Amici Pizzeria many times already and let me tell you, THE FOOD IS GREAT. I am from New York and this pizza really is just like New York Pizza. When they first opened, there may have been some issues with the service, but that is what happens when you hire people for the first time… you do not know how they are going to perform. You have to see who works well and who doesn’t, and then make adjustments to your staff. I went back to this place about 3 days ago, and it was perfect. The food was fresh, delicious and the service was great too. And I should mention that the place was packed. So I am sure that this place WILL be around for a long time! Why does it matter if the owner is new to the restaurant business? Are people not supposed to take on new challenges in life? Are we not supposed to follow our dreams and do what we truly want to do because we have never done it before? What an arrogant thing to say. To bash a brand new business on the internet is not a decent thing to do at all. This business is providing jobs and is good for the neighborhood. Stop trying to sabotage other people’s livelihood. It’s just wrong.

It is a brand new business that has been open for a few weeks! Give em’ a break! Lots of hard work.

I’ve been to Bella Amici twice. The first time was the first week they were open and I thought the food was just ok, but could tell they were still working out some kinks, as expected. The second time was yesterday, July 18th, and what a difference! I didn’t expect things to turn around so quickly but they did. EXCELLENT PIZZA!! That only applies to those of you who have had REAL NY pizza, since everyone else in south fla is used to the garbage everyone else serves. I’m sorry you’re all missing out! Been waiting for a place like this in delray for a long time. And any restaurant owner who has water shipped down from NY is a genius. I’m impressed and will be back often!

Are you out of you F–kin mind. “any restaurant owner who has water shipped down from NY is a genius” Do you and the owner really believe that this is the key to success in the restaurant business? I’ve eaten at MANY Sh–ty pizzerias and restaurants in NY.. haven’t eaten here yet but based on the comments I’m not to eager to try the pizza but I might stop in on a blazing hot day for an ice cold glass of NYC tap water….

Ok, say what you want about the pizza place, I haven’t tried it yet. I am from NY and consider myself an experienced NY pizza consumer. I will post my impression when I try it (maybe tonight). My issue here is don’t start in on the Brooklyn Water Bagel guys. They are the greatest! Whether Fred R thinks it’s a scam or not, they make the absolutely best bagels in South Florida! I grew up on NY bagels and no place lese down here comes even close to a NY bagel besides BWB. Just my opinion:)

I would never go here! We ordered take out with a 30 minute wait and the person checked our pizza and when we got home it was all wrong. We ordered a vegetarian pizza with broccoli, spinach & olives, but they made us a primavera with onions, peppers and mushrooms and added olives. We called to explain the mix up wanting to come and get the correct pizza in 10 minutes. Was told that it would be another 30 minutes which is ridiculous. Then asked for refund and had to come back to store which wanted to do another day. Owner or manager got on phone and at this point I was getting very upset and instead of apologizing or trying to make it right the guy hung up on me. I agree that they probably never owned a restaurant before which is fine but then learn to run one properly because you have lost my business and unhappy customers tell more people not to go than happy ones.

Tried this pizza – same price point as Anthony’s Coal Fire Pizza and less than half as good. Thin Crust Pizza was WAY undercooked and toppings were skimpy and not fresh like ACP. Will never go there again.
