***** SUNPASS FOR DISNEY WORLD *****

Before we get going here…this little “diddy” really has nothing to do with Florida’s Sunpass.

Anyway…

This morning I read a very interesting article in the “New York Post”… ‘Disney $leazy Riders–Rich kid fast track’–

The jist of the story is that some guy in Celebration, Florida has a company name Dream Tours (www.dreamtoursflorida.com) that will “supply” a handicapped person in a wheelchair to a party of up to 6 people at the rate of $130 per hour…during their visit to Disney World. The article said that Disney World has special auxiliary entrances to rides/shows for the wheelchaired person and up to 6 of his/her guests—thus avoiding long lines/wait times. The article also said that Disney World has its own service called Disney World’s VIP Tours which charges hotel guests $315 per hour/non hotel guests $340 per hour–for a personal guide who will “guide” up to 10 visitors through the various parks cutting wait times at rides/shows.

So…you guys now know TWO ways to shorten your Disney World wait times.

Hard Rock Hotel up at Universal use to have if you stayed there your key let you get on rides first. Not sure if they still have it.
The wheelchair thing story is amazing.

I went there once with a niece with a sprained ankle and Disney supplied the wheelchair and let her and her family skip the lines. The only downside was some the 3d ride they ended up in seats that did not move sop the effects was not as good. So forget the 130.00 a hour just get some gauze and a crutch.

Years ago I rented a wheelchair.
Put a big bandage on my left knee and had the kids push me around Disney.
    It worked like a charm.

Nothing like hearing about a good old fashioned entrepeneur.
One question: Do you have to buy the guy in the wheelchair a pass? Or do they throw that in the deal? My bet would be you have to buy him a pass.
I like the idea of just renting the wheelchair yourself, but you got to have some one push you.

Leave it to you to find another “interesting” item for us to discuss.

  6. SSDW says...

Why in the world would you let the non handicap jump the line?
I could see if the person had a personal aide, but a whole group or family. BS.
Let them wait in line, instead of cashing in on their handicap pal’s misfortune.

  7. Stan Lester says...

Personally I’d rent my own wheelchair and get a huge ace bandage for one of my legs than spend $340 or $130 an hour to have some idiot take me around. My idea is a more cost effective scam than the other two are.

    Jeff:

JUST LEFT WALGREENS AND CVS HERE IN PEMBROKE PINES AND THERE SEEMS TO BE A HUGE RUN ON ACE BANDAGES.

  9. HelpIHaveFallen says...

So let me get this straight, if I cut off one of my legs I don’t have to wait in line. Now, if I cut off one arm and one leg do I get to sit in the front or do I just get standard seating?
Disney and this guy in the article should be ashamed. Let everyone stand in line except the truly disbabled who should be accomodated because of their handicap.

  10. TZ1 says...

Just heard on tv that Disney is now investigating the phony handicap claims made in The Post.

  11. Gregg L. Friedman MD says...

The wheelchair rental cost was not very high and the Disney staff were super nice and helpful. I give Disney a 5 Star excellent rating. By Gregg L. Friedman MD, Psychiatrist, Hallandale Beach, FL

That’s called EXPLOITATION, LYING, CHEATING, and SHAMEFUL!!!

Thanks to you scammers, good people who genuinely needed assistance are no longer going to be “helped”.

Disney should have a MILITARY (not Politician) line-skip policy, however!

I am neither handicapped nor military, FYI.

I just believe in being honest.
