***** THE RASCALS *****

Real fast…

One of the greatest 60’s rock bands was The Rascals.
The band “broke-up” some forty years ago.
Over those 40 years, various “combinations” of the group performed—but the original 4-members only performed twice together, once at a charity event and at the group’s induction into the Rock n’ Roll Hall Of Fame.
A few months ago, former band-mates (Felix, Eddie, Dino, Gene) finally agreed to reunite and in December, 2012 performed 6 sold-out concerts at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
Commencing this evening, the band is set to play 15 concerts at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City.

The Rascals are coming to the Hard Rock in Hollywood for concerts on May 24, 25, 26, 27.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow on Ticketmaster at 10am.

March 27, 2013–UPDATE

Jeff Eats and Mrs. Jeff Eats were at the concert on Sunday night.

For those who follow, 60’s Rock N Roll…

The Rascals put on one of the most amazing concerts/shows that Mrs. Jeff Eats and Jeff Eats have seen in a very long time.
Vocally they were amazing.
The entire production was absolutely perfect.
GREAT SHOW!

No question about it The Rascals were one of the greatest bands in the history of Rock N Roll. They are in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and have sold millions of records. I heard that Stevie VanZant got them back together and the show is like a Broadway production. I’m definitely going. You can see some of the NY shows on You Tube.

  2. Bill from Delray says...

Saw them perform at a show at the New York Coliseum at Columbus Circle in the early 60s. They were still the Young Rascals and performed in costume – a Little Lord Fauntleroy sort of look. They were fantastic then! Wish I was going to be around for their So. FL shows.

Jeff, saw these guys when they first started out in the hamptons, ny. they became huge. 3 of them came out of joey dee & the starliters. I saw felix with some other guys but it was not the same. eddie’s voice always added to the sound. I am going to catch a couple of tickets and see them at the hard rock. thanks for the heads up.

Will definitely be going to one of the shows.

The first 5 rows include a meet and greet and go for close to 325 bucks.

  12. GT says...

    Jeff,
I just looked on Ticketmasters site and there are loads of tickets left for all of the shows.
I would have thought that by now most of the tickets would be gone.
    How do you figure that?

    GT:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

As you know, The Rascals are in for 4 shows.

I think what you maybe missing here is that the Casino “gives out” an enormous number of tickets to its best players and VIPs.

For what’s it’s worth, Daughter Jeff Eats and Son Jeff Eats who “play” at the casino but by no stretch of the imagination are big players, have in recent months been offered 2 tickets each for performers like, Bill Cosby, Crosby Stills & Nash, Freda Payne, Hall & Oates.

So…just multiply out what I just mentioned above and I’ll bet you a nickel that most of the seats at The Rascals’ shows will have behinds in them.

What I do know is this, I have been a friend of Rascal Eddie Brigati for over 38 years and for him to have agreed to perform with the other 3 Rascals—the concert/show will be off the chart.

    Thanks for reading…

    Mondays show was canceled.

    Jeff
    Got a question?
I just saw a Hershey’s commercial that featured the song Good Loving which was a huge hit for The Rascals. How much do The Rascals get for that license fee?

  16. JeffEats says...

    Red:

Just had a chance to read your comments.

Ive seen that commercial and The Rascals aren’t singing the song.

Based on what I know about this group, The Rascals didn’t write the song or publish the song. Since they aren’t singing the song used in the commercial, The Rascals get nothing for its use in the commercial.

    Thanks for reading…

  18. Gordon J. says...

Unless everyone is lying there must be at least 50 people from the Polo Club here in Boca Raton going to see The Rascals on one of the 3 dates they are playing. It seems like everyone is talking about them.

  26. Jeff
    Just an observation
Eddie was so appreciative of the audience that he actually you actually fell in love with him. Not so much with the other three.
