***** NY’s Big Apple Deli, 14432 North Biscayne Boulevard, North Miami Beach, Florida 33181, (305) 940-0128.

Got a terrific— “New York Kosher Style Deli” for you…NY’s Big Apple Deli in North Miami Beach.

You can check menu/prices at www.nysbigappledeli.com.

Two recent lunch outings had me “sampling” pastrami/corned beef/brisket/turkey…some of the best stuff I’ve had down here in sunny South Florida. Also gave the joint’s chicken salad and chopped liver a shot…once again, real good stuff. I also did 2-soups, chicken matzoh ball soup and mushroom barley—both were homeruns.

    Jeff,
    The food is good.
They make some very good soups.
I also think that Pomperdale in Ft. Lauderdale and Zinger’s in Boca Raton are really good.
Your Sage call is on the mark but NY and the other two are better.

    Hey Jeff-
Check out this place called Long Island Bagel & Deli on the NW corner of Palmetto Park Rd. & 441 in West Boca. Mike Friedman who opened NY Bagel & Deli in Sunrise years ago redid the place, hired his old crew, and is baking his own bagels (no frozen Bagelmania bagels!). Real CRISPY Brooklyn Bagel with a dense middle like a real New Yorker wants!! Mike grew up in Brooklyn

Have been pleasantly surprised by quality
    and value.

Free soup with any lunch entree, and the soup is great during the grand opening going on now.

    thx

This New York mook went inside, read the sandwich board, and walked out. Laughably expensive.
