Back on April 17, 2008 I did a review on a “burger” joint named Charm City Burger Company. If you check that review, I absolutely loved the food. At that time, the joint had only been open for something like 3-months…and I questioned its “longevity” based on its piss-poor location. To make a long story short…the joint is still around– has new owners– has a cult following—and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS.

All I can tell you, is that I was in the joint last week…delicious bacon cheeseburger, terrific french fries, great sweet potato fries, incredible chicken wings. sensational grilled chicken and soft shell crab rolls.
Order/pickup at the counter. Absolutely nothing fancy here. Just…outstanding food.
Charm City is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
hey jeff, Charm City is right up there on my top burger and fries list. The wings are also awesome. This is one heavy duty hole in the wall.
By far the best burger in South Florida. I drive 30 plus minutes each time I go eat there. Well worth the trip for a burger they call the Cowboy; a pepper-crusted bacon cheeseburger topped with sauteed mushrooms & onions and Charm Sauce (a spicyish variation on Thousand Island). Its a toss up for me between the tater tots or sweet potato fries on the side. If I feel like being really bad I indulge in deep-fried Oreos. Absolutely divine.
I have been there few time the Cowboy is awsome… The Turkey Burger is also very tastey. These are the best burgers in all of Florida… So glad I work close to Charm City eveyone I work with absoultly loves this place and their prices.
This joint runs circles around Five Guys.

Checked out this joint last week and I have to agree, WAY better then Five Guys! I really enjoyed it…even if I did eat it in my car thanks to my crying son. The fries are yum and the sweet potato fries are even more yum! I will definitely do the drive over to Charm again…I am looking forward to it!
jeff, 5 guys opened in boca this past monday. got there at noon and the line was out the door. great burger and fries. have been to charm and the food is as good if not better. 2 great fast food joints, life is good.
you must try quickie’s in hollywood and stop burger in weston. really first rate burgers and fries

I don’t know how anyone can talk about Charm City and 5 guys in the same paragraph. 5 guys is a step or two above McDonald’s, without much taste, and Charm City about as good as you can make a burger. Their fries are far superior too. We don’t think twice about taking the 25 minute trip to Charm City, knowing that we come real close to the 5 Guys in Glades Plaza before we get on I-95. I have to admit that while Charm City has superior food they don’t know the first thing about restaurant management. When we got there early last night there was one guy behind the counter, taking orders and making shakes. I couldn’t believe how many people just came for the shakes. I watched the place get so full that every table was full and there were at least 30 people on line. The man behind the counter stayed calm, did his job, and I didn’t see anyone complain or walk out, but that still isn’t how you want to run your restaurant. If there was ever a marriage between Charm City and some restaurant pros they would wipe the floor with 5 Guys across the country.

jeff, one of the best fast food cheeseburgers and fries that i’ve had in a very long time. i’ve eaten in 5 guys and it can’t hold a candle to charm city’s food.
My wife and I and our two teenagers ate at CC last night. It was our first time. We heard about CC from neighbors, Jeff Eats and a review in the Sun Sentinel.
We enjoyed our burgers, fries, and shakes. Definitely better than most fast food restaurants.
We thought that the sign board menu was very confusing and a couple of burgers came out wrong but the toppings were quickly straightened out.
When we arrived around 8pm there were 4 others eating. In the 40 minutes or so that we were there at least 30 more people walked in. There was only one counter person taking orders and ordering and getting the food was a bit on the long side.
CC is in a horrendous location. Obviously from the business, people have found it because there is no way you would ever just happen upon this place.
Great food. Slow service.
We will definitely be back, because the food really is that good.
I would suggest to the owner a clearer menu and another register for taking orders.

I’ve eaten in tons of fast food burger places and this burger and fries was up there with the best of them.
I got to agree with many here the location is horrendous.

Jeff, tried this one last Saturday night. The store was very busy with almost every seat taken and a line of about 10. This was around 7:45pm.
I had a cheeseburger and fries. My wife had a turkey burger and salad.
The salad, was just a waste of wilted something or other.
The french fries weren’t very good.. Not crisp and were as someone else mentioned limp.
My wife liked her burger.
My burger was just fair. The meat was seasoned with something that overwhelmed the meat.
Have been hearing quite a bit about this place. Apparently from the crowd this little hole in the wall has a loyal clientele, but to be perfectly honest the food wasn’t anything to write home about.
I found the samething with the hamburgers. They use a seasoning which overwhelms the burger meat’s taste. Personally I didn’t like Charm City.

We live in Parkland. Have been hearing about Charm City for awhile so we gave it a try on Wed. night. The burgers are too seasoned. Nothing special about the fries. We’ll stick with CG which just opened by us.
Im not sure what the hype is . The place is a small old style luchonette with mediocre food. Bruzzi’s Boca blows this place away for hamburgers. I rather go to Wendys
i worked for the first owner of charm city burger company in deerfield beach.. b4 it opened and help set up.. food was great ppl were amazing to work with and helped for good buisness.. now that its changed i havent been back i moved but im glad it still has the best burges!!! i loved them!!!!
