I love Doris Italian Market. I must shop there 2-3 times a week. I always enjoyed George the fish guy. He was colorful at times, but he knew his fish and I always got very fresh fish. It is sad that you guys let him go after allll these years. I know he will be missed by many customers and i think you shoud consider letting him come back. This will hurt you fish dept.

I was sorry when they closed the Broward Blvd store. Now I have to travel a bit further north or travel south to the Pemb Pines store. Both are very nice stores and their prices on meats are wonderful. I go several times a month and stock up on all sorts of chicken, beef and sausage. I have also been shopping in their produce more cause the pricing has been so competitive. Great store and always recommend it.

Doris is consistantly first rate. Their meat is terrific with the exception of their Italian sausage which we now buy at Joseph’s or Howard’s. Their salads are great and they run some terrific specials.

Lived in Hollywood from 1971 and knew Doris herself. She sold the store and they branched out. When I moved here I went a few times to the Boca store. We bought an Italian Rum cake and served it the next day at a party and it was bad. It was definately not fresh. I called the store and don’t know but think I spoke to the manager or the bakery manager but he yelled at me. He was so nasty and rude to me and I will never go back to that store again. The cake went into the garbage. That is not the way to treat people.

Live right down the street from the Boca Doris. Every night, all of the cabinets and display cases are washed and hosed down. I have seen this with my own eyes. The market is spotless. The takeout food is great same goes for the meats and baked goods. If you live near a Doris you got to shop there.

Doris’s is great. My sister moved to Cali and really misses Doris’s. I shopped at one in Sunrise last year. I wonder if that location closed( its on 44th street). There is a great Jewish Bakery in the same plaza called Family Bakery.
