Chops Lobster Bar (Boca Raton)

Posted on January 25th, 2008 · American Boca Raton Seafood

Chops Lobster Bar–101 Plaza Real South, Boca Raton, Florida      33432–(561) 395-2675

This joint opened about a year ago in Boca Raton. It is an “upscale” steakhouse, which is “full of itself.” The food is fair at best…the service is barely passable…and the prices are for the business-account crowd.

Don’t even think about spending your hard earned money at this joint.

Dear Jeff, I beg to differ! I’ve been to this place several times and not for work. The atmosphere is great. The lobster bar is excellent and the food beats anything I’ve ever had in Florida. The background of the establishment is beyond reproach and also the chef has an excellent history and makes great food. If you throw around opinions like random baseballs, please have the facts to back it up!
I’ve been to Chops, New York Prime, Abe and Louies and several restaurants in West Palm and Ft. Lauderdale. I have also been to several of Buckhead Life Restaurants in Atlanta. I feel the food is unique and also well executed. The service is very attentive and they actually remember the small and large things about serving their customers. I recommend this establishment with high regard!

Toni: We obviously disagree about CHOPS. Chops is a second rate joint. New York Prime in Boca Raton runs circles around Chops. Abe & Louies which is just okay, runs circles around Chops. Morton’s in Boca Raton is in the same league as Chops, namely “full of itself.”
    Anyway…thanks for reading.

    Hey, Jeff:
The Sun Sentinel rated Chops best steakhouse in S Florida. What say you?

I say the sun sentinel has no idea what it’s talking about.
