Let me put this to you as simply as I can…if you like HAMBURGERS & FRENCH FRIES…you absolutely have to try Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries.

Five Guys is a fast-food chain. The last time I checked, it had 118 units (located predominantly in the northeast USA). Five Guys is planning a “major push” into South Florida, so don’t be shocked to see “one” opening in your neighborhood real soon.

Five Guys makes one of the best fast-food hamburgers that you will ever taste. The same goes for its fries. The same also goes for its hot-dogs. Just so you know, this joint’s menu has burgers, hot-dogs, fries and a grilled cheese sandwich on it “and that’s it.”

I am telling you, that you don’t want to miss this one. For “right now” the only Five Guys in “our” South Florida area is in West Palm Beach. This joint is open 7 days a week, 11am-10pm.

Jeffeats: You sure called this one right on the money. I think that 5 Guys now has something like 400 restaurants. Since you wrote this 2 years ago, I know for sure that new stores opened in Wellington, Margate, Boynton and Miami. I am a huge fan of this chain. They make outrageously good hamburgers and fries. Great call on this one over 2 years ago. By the way I also heard that 5 Guys is going to open in Boca Raton. For those of you who have never eaten at 5 Guys, you are missing something great.

  3. was at the new 5 guys in boynton beach yesterday. at lunch time place was busy. the burgers and fries are delicious. clean, cheap, great food.

  4. No question about it this is the best fast food hamburger restaurant in Florida. Everything is fresh and delicious.

We tried this place, in Tamarac on the west side of University Drive, just north of Commercial in the southeast corner of a large shopping center, a few weeks ago.

The burgers were good, freshly made, but only cooked one way: well done. We prefer our burgers a little more bloody and rare, but they were tasty, none-the-less.

If you like your fries a little more crispy (these are fresh cut from REAL potatoes!), be sure to ask for them extra crispy. Otherwise, they may seem a bit soggy if you aren’t used to freshcut fries.

The service was great and friendly, and the order taker very informative.

I am absolutely addicted to 5 guys. Amazing burgers and fries. I live in Boca Raton and drive to the Boynton Beach store at least once a week.
I see that a 5 Guys is going to open in Boca on Glades Road. Can’t wait.
I also see that right next to it they are also going to open a La Spada. Great subs.

Not sure if it was the cold weather combined with all of the visitors here during the holidays but last night when I went to 5 Guys in Boca at 7:30pm every table was taken and there was a line of maybe 40 people waiting to order. Despite the crowd I ordered and got my food all within 15 minutes.
I had the double cheeseburger and large fries. The burger was delicious but the fries were on the soggy side. Maybe too much food being cooked, but the ff weren’t good at all.
I have been to the Boca 5 Guys numerous times. It’s in a piss poor location yet despite that seems to have a steady business.

Just been to Five Guys at Glades Plaza, Boca Raton. Very disappointing.
When there is a limited choice menu, and the primary focus is on the burger, one has reason to expect a far better product.
Despite there being few customers at 8.00 pm an inefficient production process had my burger left sitting out, getting cool, and allowing the relish to seep into the bun, making it unnecessarily soggy. Granted, the burger itself was good (though surely I should have been offered a choice between medium or whatever?) but the fries could have been crispier and the so-called grilled onions could barely have seen a grill.
The premises had the feeling of a cavernous public restroom so it is hard to see the attraction of eating-in.
In-N-Out Burger is far superior – shame they don’t venture East!

Tried it for the first time tonight. Very average cheeseburger and horrible limp broken fries. Terrible atmosphere Cavernous public restroom is very descript. Won’t be back.

Was in Boca store last night.
    The fries are very good.
I have eaten here a number of times and in recent outings have found the burgers sort of on the bland side.
I recently tried Boardwalk in Boca and found the food better.
